Lonely Nerds discussion

I know I'm not in charge of the club, so I hope this is ok. I just wanted to say hi and meet the other Lonely Nerds out there :D I'll start with my introduction. My name is Beza{ pronounced Bay-Za}, reading is my favorite thing to do even though nobody around understands that. I read pretty much every genre and I love to read actual books and not e readers!

My name is Shukri (pronounced Shuk-ri, but I answer to any variation of my name). I enjoy reading and would love to discuss, so I'm really excited for this book club. I was anti-e readers too till quite recently, though I think I love ereaders now!

I'm Victoria! Love to read when I have the time which has been less and less lately, but I'm sure this group will get me back on track. I'm interested in so many genres so whatever we decide on I'm sure I'll enjoy. I, too, was once against e-readers but I'm becoming a fan. I still love the tangible book tho. So yeah...hi! :)

Hi Nicole! Sorry it took so long for me to respond I didn't even realize that someone commented. I've never heard of a Pathologist what do they do? You read on your I pad?

Hmmmm have you ever read The Name Of The Wind by Patrick Rothfuss or The Passage by Justin Cronin?

The name of the wind sounds like a great read! But I have not heard of the passage.

Hello everyone! Sorry I took so long to reply, I didn't realize anyone responded. I thought I was supposed to get an email notification....oh well.

@Beza I bought a textbook for half the price and then when I needed to study I could just search things so quickly. You can highlight, make notes, I'm kinda obsessed now. Yes, you can read on the iPad using iBooks, or a kindle app.


@Chris I haven't heard of either book, but the titles sound good! I'm okay with choosing from those two? How about everyone else?

Hi everyone, I'm a fellow victim of Naima's harassment, glad to be in the company of people who understand what I am going through.

I love to read pretty much anything. Right now I'm trying to educate myself by reading some American fiction classics, but I have a terrible weakness for all books of S.M. Stirling's.

I'm open to anything. Maybe we should make a facebook group so we can do a poll and vote once we are ready to choose a book?
