Name: RoseShow Name: Wild Rose of the West
Alias/nicknames: Rosie
Gender: mare
Age: 7 years
Breed: Thoroughbred mix
Disciplines known: Barrel racing, western pleasure, reining, pole-bending (needs work), track racing (not at academy)
Best discipline: western pleasure
Appearance: Rose is a red mare. She is a rather big horse with long sturdy legs. She has a white stripe running down her head along with an odd white patch on her hindquarters that resembles a rose. Her mane and tail are the same color as her body, making it blend into her body. Her two back legs are slightly rounder than most horse's due to her injury.
Personality: Rose is a very well tempered horse, but responds to commands better when given from Cassidy. Rose is known for being calm and courteous to the other horses and riders. If she is in pain, she starts acting bitter and doesn't follow commands. Rose also loves to be wild which is why Wild was added to her show name. When she is in the pasture, she flies like the wind around the perimeter just to get the rush in her main that she used to get.
History: Rose was born in the Sterling's barn and was trained by Cassidy her entire life. After a tragic racing accident she was almost put down because of her injuries, but with Cassidy's pleading, she was saved. She still has problems with swelling, but she acts like any normal horse.
Owner: Cassidy Sterling
Stall Number: 16
Special care needed?: If swelling is present she will need to be put on the hot walker the remainder of the day and possibly the next, until the swelling is no longer present.

Name: Pages
Show Name: Read Between the Lines
Alias/nicknames: Page, Prancer-girl
Gender: Female
Age: 5 years
Breed: Appendix
Disciplines known: Barrel racing, pole bending, western pleasure
Best discipline: Barrel racing
Appearance:
Pages is a very well built mare. She a little pudgy around her stomach, but they are working on it. She is a pig, she eats and eats, but never gains anything. She has the look a race horse, but was never trained for it. She has long, slender legs and a sturdy neck.
Pages is dappled gray all around her body. Her tail is dark on top, but fades to a light blonde as you continue down. Her hooves are often polished black for shows. She doesn't where shoes except for shows. She is about 17 1/2 hands and taller than Keller by just a little bit.
Personality:
Pages is a very gentle horse, but is not all she is thought out to be.
Loving until you ride her, Pages is wild at heart. She loves to put you to the test, unless you are impaired. She has been trained to sense the difference between therapeutic and able-bodied riders. This comes in handy for Keller, of course. With the heart of an angel, she is a beauty with a purpose. When you ride Pages, you never leave feeling like you didn't learn something new.
History:
Pages was born to a racing barn, but tossed aside not soon enough. She was ridden hard and broken, forcing her beyond what she could take at only one years old. She was beaten and her legs never grew properly, leaving internal pain with no external proof. She was soon taken away and adopted by a western barn that taught for therapy. She was trained in the arts of a natural therapy horse and soon bought as the perfect fit for Keller at age three.
Pages has been working day in and day out with Keller to be where they are now and win a title in the olympics. This horse may not be too bright, but she has the heart of a lion and the mental capacity of something far beyond our comprehension.
Owner: Keller Preston
Stall Number: #7
Special Notes: Because of her sore legs, Pages must be stretched before every ride.
Other: Pages loves poptarts and hamburger buns.

Name: SlashShow Name: Slashed Hoe
Alias/nicknames:
Gender: stallion
Age: 10 years
Breed: Hanoverian
Disciplines known: Dressage, ground work and show jumpin
Best discipline: show jumping
Appearance: http://mostables.deviantart.com/galle...
Other side of his face: http://mostables.deviantart.com/galle...
Slash is a well built Hanoverian that's dark bay. His legs are black but only up to his knees, he has three cornets and one sock the sock is on his left front leg. His mane and tail are black, his mane is short so Evalina can easily braid it while his tail is long and almost down to the ground. On his face he has a slash, on his left side it's white while on the other it's like a bald face so the slash is brown.
Personality: He can seem to be negative at times but inside he is very determind on whatever his mind is on. He thinks that their is no such thing as hope but if you put your mind to it then you WILL succed! He mostly like to be by himself but he also will accept another friendly horse to train next to or graze with. He doesn't take kindly to rude horses and will find a way to teach them and make them learn a lesson. He is a very loyal horse and will follow Evalina without a lead rope, he even gets tacked up and groomed without the need to be tied.
History: Evalina bought him when he was four years old and has been training him ever since. Before Evalina bought him he was born and raised on a Hanoverian breeding ranch for horses that would compete in the Olympics. When he was first born he was a small colt so the owners and trainers didn't spend a whole lot of time to train him but they at lease tought him basic dressage and show jumping. After Evalina bought him she trained him to be the very best horse that he is today. He has won compositions with Evalina and it seems like he just keeps getting better with every win.

Name: AllegroShow Name: Up the Scale
Alias/nicknames: Legs
Gender: Mare
Age: 6 years
Breed: Thoroughbred
Disciplines known: vaulting, jumping, cross-country, some barrel racing, and pole bending
Best discipline: vaulting
Appearance: Allegro has a creamy white forelock, mane and tail. It is the perfect length for braiding and Delta loves to experiment with it's style just like her own hair. Once, on accident, Allegro's mane was dyed pea green after an attempt to turn it red. Let's just say there will be no more attempts to dye her hair.
Her coat is a beautiful golden color with some white spotts on the back of her legs and on her chest. She has a white sock on her back left leg and a stocking on her right foreleg. A white blaze slashes up her head to end with a crisp and perfect point between her eyes. She is 16.6 hands tall.

Personality: Allegro is a sweet horse. She is very patient with Delta who has been known to go slightly crazy over hair styles and clothes. Allegro was not always sweet and calm. She used to be wild and stubborn. Allegro has the patience and steadiness for vaulting. She also has the focus of jumping and cross country. She obeys cues fluidly and precisely. Her favorite place to be scratched is right beneath her forelock right before the roots. If you scratch her there you have officially gained her trust and friendship.
Do not be deceived. Just because she is gentle, this does not mean she is not a wild animal. She has many stubborn streaks and you need to know how to handle her. Her temperament is a perfect match to Delta who also has stubborn and rebellious streaks. In order to keep her inner Mustang quiet Delta let's her into the large pasture to run free for the weekends. During competition she is also allowed to use her wildness and focus it into a beam of pure will. Together the two are a force to be reckoned with.
History: Allegro was born at a prestigious farm in Kentucky and trained early to be a dressage horse. Her wild temper kept her from the quiet concentration that is needed for dressage. When she was two she was to be sold off in auction, because of the temper. Delta found out about her when one of her friends told her of the wild and passionate horse. Delta saw her during the auction and used most of the money in her savings account to buy her off of the horse.
They trained together in jumping. Delta knew she had to work with her more until she could break through the warrior in her heart before he could train her for vaulting. Jumping gave her the sport needed to let out her speed and power yet kept her in check. After a year of working with her Delta started to train her into being a good mount for vaulting. They grew together into a partnership so close that they soon began to work as one being. Allegro learned patience and spirit, while Delta learned patiend also and control over Allegro and herself.

Name: MistakeShow Name: Life's Mistakes
Alias/nicknames: Missy
Gender: mare
Age: 10 years
Breed: Quarter Horse
Disciplines known: Pole bending, reigning, herding, barrel racing
Best discipline: Pole bending
Appearance: http://deathangle101.deviantart.com/a...
Missy is smaller then most Quarter Horses. She's a tobiano pinto with brown spots. Her mane and tail are long and silky and are well kept. Even though she's a small horse she can still herd and almost anything else.
Personality: She is very shy and skittish, it takes a while for her to get to use to someone. She doesn't like the horses that are bigger then her so she stays away from them, whenever she's in the pastures she stays away from the other horses. When she's under the saddle or in the ring she's a different mare. She's active and is ready to burn some energy and to also please her rider.
History: Missy was part of an Indian tribe but was poorly treated since they didn't know how to really take care of her. So their sullotion was to set her free in the wild and not worry about her. For the first two weeks she stayed by them but they started to throw stuff at her whiched scared her so she never came back. For a while she did well on her own, even better then being in the tribe, but as soon as winter hit and everything got covered by snow and died Missy had started to starve without being in a herd and never being wild before. While Ace was on his way to the stables to start working for them he found her by the side of the road so he called the stables to bring a trailer and a vet, as soon as she got better Ace kept her and learned how to ride horses.
Owner: Ace
Stall Number: #19
Special care needed?: strength supplement feed since she's smaller then most Quarter Horses.
Other: She's a perfect beginner horse do Blades let's the instructors use her every now and then.
Name: Rayburn
Show Name: Head First
Alias/nicknames: Ray
Gender: Gelding
Age: 7
Breed: Mustang
Disciplines: Barrels, reigning, and pleasure
Best discipline: Barrels and pleasure
Appearance:
Rayburn is a chiseled creature.
Rayburn seems to be the result of a concoction of cloud and stone. He is muscular all around like a thoroughbred. He can run like the wind, picking up speed just as easily as a racehorse. With a body made for speed and strength, there is nothing holding this horse back.
With a coat the shade of light ivory, Rayburn is everyone's fantasy. He is a blur when running, but it is so barely visible. In the night he looks like a ghost. Her face has small scattered freckles around his nose, but they aren't visible from afar. His mane and tail match the rest of him, white as snow. He is truly a dream come true.

Ready to Go
Personality:
Rayburn is spunky.
Rayburn has an attitude. He may be broken, but he is still a mustang at heart. He pulls out his tricks from time to time, even throwing Randy off a little here and there. He is the perfect horse to throw any rider on who is being cocky or over confident. He will show you who is boss if you can't beat him to it.
History:
Rayburn was born on the plains in San Antonio. He is wild and always has been. He had it made as a free spirit. He roamed everyday as his own and was about to leave the herd to start his own. That is until he was about two years old.
Rayburn was soon surrounded and captured to be sold. He was to be auctioned off until he was put up for adoption for a contest called Mustang Makeover. This was what allowed Mike Layne to have him signed over and be trained by olympic rider Myranda Layne. No sooner did he arrive at the ranch that his training had begun.
Three months later, Randy was ready for the show with Rayburn. At first, Rayburn had been very stubborn and hard headed. But there had been something about Randy's charm and kind heart that had won Rayburn over. As he showed in barrels and other horsemanship qualities, Rayburn won second place over all. Randy decided to keep Rayburn and continue to train him in the western disciplines.
Rayburn now works here with Randy. He is Randy's riding horse for her lessons and her punishments for eager and cocky riders. Randy respects Rayburn, and vice versa, that being the only way to win him over to be ridden at all.
Owner: Myranda (Randy) Layne
Stall Number: #8
Special Care: He is not to be saddled or groomed by anyone except Randy. And he gets one flake of hay every morning.
Other: Rayburn loves little kids.

Name: Bonnie
Show Name: Bon Cheval
Alias/nicknames: Bonnet, Bon-bon
Gender: Mare
Age: 3
Breed: Belgian Warmblood
Disciplines: Vaulting and jumping
Best discipline: Vaulting
Appearance:
Bonnie is a regular chestnut beauty.
Bonnie is very muscular around her legs and torso for a young jumper. She often runs in the pasture, a leader to the other horses as they follow. She has a chestnut coat and white stockings. She doesn't wear horseshoes for she is tender-footed. She has a blaze from the tip of her nose to the middle of her forelock. The top of her head has a white spot under her mane that spreads up half her ears. This is what earned her the nickname "Bonnet".
Personality:
Bonnie is naturally the leader.
Bonnie was trained with natural horsemanship since she was born and has always known Aspen as her master. She has the calmest disposition and welcomes anyone and everyone into the herd with an open heart. Because she is so willing to please, Bonnie is often put with the new horses because she will not try to show dominance unless one tries to be dominant over her.
Don't underestimate her because of her calm nature. Bonnie can be assertive. She doesn't come across as dominant, but if a horse tries to take her place on top, she will knock them down just as easily. She is an easy ride until that one kid that is rough gets on her and she has to show them that she is boss, but is willing to compromise.
History:
Bonnie was born in the humane society after her mother and three other horses were rescued from a racing barn. They got the wrong shipment of horses, and abused the Belgian Warmbloods into hard labor. Bonnie was born to a weak mare called Penny, but Penny died three weeks after the birth of Bonnie.
As a bonding project, Aspen's transfer parents purchased Bonnie and had Aspen hands on with her for the first two years of her life, having bottle fed her and taught her in the ways of natural horsemanship. Bonnie grew increasingly dependent of Aspen, their bond of trust deepening further than before. She was trained in the arts of vaulting and is still working on jumping.
Bonnie and Aspen are inseparable. When Aspen was accepted to SBS, Bonnie was given to Aspen as a farewell gift. Bonnie and Aspen have furthered their training and, with help, will hopefully make it to the final three.

Cricket is a really high-strong personality. He's very energetic and loves to jump and run. He can be very stubborn to ride, he gets lazy and doesn't really like to listen all that well. The only person who he really listens to is Zak. He has a big craving for horse treats. if you give him more then one and not another one we will bit you until he has another.
He's not much of a people person. He get along with other horses more then he does people.
He does have a very sweet side to him. If you don't work with him for a week he becomes really fresh and never mean. He's a great horse to have for eventing but not a good "pet" horse. But he does love Zak will all his might and will do nothing to hurt him.
History:
Cricket was born in September in late afternoon. He went into training at a pretty old age. he was 3 years old when he first went into training. After he was trained to get sold to young girl and they needed to sell him because he spooked and threw her off. So they sold him to another family and they needed to sell him because their horse didn't like him.
He went through this long line of having a home and then being sold. This is why Cricket doesn't really trust humans as much as he does with is own kind. But he does trust Zak and that is the only person who Cricket really trust.

Name: WingsShow Name: Sulle Mie Ali
Alias/nicknames: none
Gender: stallion
Age: 8
Breed: Knabstrupper
Disciplines known: cross-country, jumping
Best discipline: cross-country
Appearance: Wings has many large brown spots arranged in random clusters along his body. His face has the most spots and here and there they blend together to make a slight mask over the features of the face. His back leg is almost all brown and makes it look as if he has a large brown stocking on. His eyes are dark brown with a light brown, honeyed corona around the large black pupil.
His mane and tail look to be cream with many brown strands of thick air floating around, or is it the other way around. Tobin likes to keep his mane and tail a medium, perfect, length. Knabstruppes are usually smaller than other horses, but Wings is just about 16 hands high, very unusual.
Who are you?
Give me my wings
Personality: Wings is probably one of the quietest horses you will ever meet. It takes a quit hand to steer him and he takes his cues almost effortlessly. He was not broken as most horses were instead he was tauught to trust the rider and learn through new experiences. Although he is quiet and sweet, he also knows what he is doing and doesn't like 'bossy' horses. He will be stern on new and inexperienced horses, yet patient. He does have a playful streak when he isn't being ridden and he always has medium-sized ball in his stable. He is a good horse to let beginners ride, but he has the skill to go to advanced competitions in jumping and cross country.
History: Wings was not supposed to be big. When he was born he was smal and skinny and not expected to live for too long. He carried through and grew faster than most Knabstruppers until he almost reached 16 hands at the mature age of two. He was originally bred for dressage, but he was to powerful and bored to just trot around looking pretty so he was started in jumping which he excelled. He used to have an extreme fear of running water, so in cross country jumping he would stop at the stream. When he was five Tobin started up at his stable and eventually ended up buying him as a cross country competition horse. Now he lives here at Spring Briar as long as Tobin works here.

Hope has a light golden body and white mane and tail. A white blaze on her muzzle that runs all the way down to her nose. She has kind dark brown eyes that make her look very sweet.
Personality: Hope is a very sweet horse. Hope can give begginer ridders a slow enjoyable ride that will have them wanting to ride again. But just giving rides wasn't enough to keep her content. With experenced riders she would keep jumping the fence around the field of the ridding school. When Hope moved in with Chloe she started training her for Dressage and pole bending. Which made Hope very happy because she wasn't a jumper, she was just board with giving trail rides everyday. Hope was very successful with Dressage but not so much with Pole bending.
History: Hope was owned by a small ridding school, that didn't have many students. When Chloe found it while walking home from school, the owner offered her a free ride on any of their horses. He was hoping that the girl would like ridding so much that she would later be a student their. Chloe chose their only Palomino and fell in love with her after that first ride. When Chloe was put in foster care for two years and couldn't ride, she never forgot about the golden horse. Hope stayed at the ridding school which was slowly loosing students due to ridding lessons being too expensive. Luckily the owners had some money put away for times such as these. When the Brooks offered to buy Chloe a horse she asked for Hope. The ridding school was going out of bussiness and was sold to them. Chole named her Hope because having her own horse made her hopeful that her life would get better.
