I would highly recommend picking up "Red Land, Black Land" by barbara Mertz (author of the Amelia Peabody series under the name Elizabeth Peters). While its a nonfiction book, its told through a story-like narrative. Truly keeps you interested and is told in a light-hearted, witty nature. Excellent and informative!
