Randy is a southern doll. She hails from rich beginnings, giving her the tolerance of a bull and the disposition of a lamb. She takes pride in her past, for it makes her as she is today: A riding instructor for kids entering the Olympics.
History:
Myranda Jo Smithfield was born on a small ranch in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Her life was perfect. She learned to ride horses at age five, just as every other kid in her family had. When she was six, her mother gave birth to twins, a boy and a girl. Their names were Daniel and Kamdon. They were a normal family. That was until Randy was nine and the twins were three.
Randy's dad, a part-time cowboy and full-time father, Chris, was the most dependable and reliable man to walk the earth. Her mother, Jane, however, was not. After the twins were born and stress rose with the growth of the ranch, Jane became very dependent of earthly possessions. She turned to drugs, leaving Randy to care for the children for hours without end some nights. Jane would come home without the right mind and accuse her husband of unlawful things and blame her children for her life situations. This resulted in the divorce of her parents and her mother moving to Austin, Texas.
When Randy turned thirteen, she was allowed to travel between her parents if she wanted to, having been living with her dad the past four years. She chose to go and visit her mother one weekend of every month, the twins often joining her. Randy now had a step-mom, Laura, and was very close to her, as she was her mother before the incident.
Randy began to learn the western discipline at age fifteen with her dad. Her mom and dad had talked for the first time in years about how they would teach her. Randy learned barrels with her father and pleasure with her mother. She learned reigning when she was in training for the olympics. At age seventeen, Randy competed in the olympics and took third prize as a bronze medalist.
Freshman year of college is when Randy met Mike Layne. Sophomore year, Mike proposed and not soon after they hitched. That same year, Randy's mother past away of lung cancer just days before Randy's wedding. Randy was devastated. To take her mind off of her mother's death, Mike signed Randy up for the Mustang Makeover project. This unique opportunity provided Randy a green, untamed mustang straight from the open plains and was given a hundred days to train it before competition. Randy named the mustang Rayburn, after her mother's maiden name. She trained Rayburn and won second place in the final show. She was offered to auction off Rayburn, but Randy refused and trained Rayburn as she had been trained for the olympics. Now, they partner up to instruct up and coming future olympians here at Spring Briar.
At age twenty-five, Randy is now happily married with one daughter. She has been married for five years, having gotten married her sophomore year of college. Two years later, Randy gave birth to her daughter, Krissy May Layne. Krissy is living with Randy's sister Kamdon, who is in college, while Randy is teaching lessons and her husband, Mike, is over seas in Afghanistan. Kamdon doesn't live far from the barn and Krissy comes to visit every saturday around lunch and sometimes during the week, so it is not uncommon to see a little three-year-old running around near Randy at any given moment.

Alias/Nicknames: Sam, Sammie
DOB/age: September 22, 22 years old
Gender: female
Job: Nurse
Appearance: Sam has medium blonde hair and dark green eyes. Her hair is normally pulled back in a braid, but sometimes she leaves it down. Sam rarely wears makeup, yet her skin seems perfect. Sam doesn't have a very big build, but she is strong.
Personality: Sam tends to get lost in her own world. She stays in her world of thought all day, until she is needed.
Sam is very willing to help with anything no matter how hard or long it is.
Even though Sam comes from the suburbs, she is a farm girl by heart. Sam sometimes considers herself to be closer to the animals than the humans, and many agree with her, but those that truly know her, know that she knows humans just as well as she knows animals.
History: Sam always loved animals, but since her mother was allergic to animal fur, she never had one for real. When she was eleven, Sam found a tiny kitten on the side of the road. The kitten was too young to be away from it's mother, let alone be on the side of the road in the snow. Sam took the kitten to an old abandoned barn that was near her house and also on the way from the school to her house. Every day before and after school, she went to go see the kitten. She fed it and gave it water and cuddled with it. She nursed the kitten back to health.
After a few months of hiding the kitten, it got ill. After days of trying, Sam couldn't seem to cure it. She decided to tell her mother about it and see if they could bring it to the vet. Her mother was mad, but felt so bad for the kitten, she brought it in. The kitten was given medicine and Sam brought it home. Despite her coughing and sneezing Sam's mother let her keep the kitten, naming it Miracle.
