Anna sighed wishing the clubs were still up and running. She would be out dancing if not for the fallout.
Spade walked into the headquarters, actually loathing the idea of being here. He was more keen on jumping some of the government guys and stealing their weapons. He sat at the chair that he felt was farthest away from everything else. Pulling out a pocket knife, he gazed at it as if it were the most interesting object in the world and kept flipping and un-flipping it.
"Maybe," he mumbled, glancing up from the pocket knife to the female whom addressed him. He only looked at her long enough to see her face before glancing back down at his pocket knife.
"I never said anything about killing you," he mumbled nonchalantly, this time not bothering to look up at her at all. He looked bored, careless, and just downright apathetic all at once.
"Just warning you," she said shrugging she leaned back in her chair kicking her feet up onto the table.
He closed his eyes, looking as if he was about to say something before he just shook his head and decided to remain quiet. "Pathetic..." That was what he was thinking. Why would he murder someone who was part of the same group he was in? It made no sense to him.
"That was a joke?" He asked, looking up at her with scoffing acclaims before shaking his head and glancing back down at his knife. Two more minutes and he was leaving, final.
Anna got up shrugging of her jacket. She had on black skinny jeans and petered red and white tanktops. She looked around and sighed waiting for someone to put her out of her misery and tell her she could go.
"You and I both," he murmured, standing up and stuffing the pocket knife back into his back pocket, secure and covered. Giving off an offhanded wave, he walked out.
Anna sighed picking up her leather jacket and throwingbit over her shoulder twirling her car keys on her finger and walking out too.
Upon reaching the headquarters, Spade forcefully opened the door and limped out of the car, using the car for support. Despite his own issues, he knew Anna had been shot and was a little worried. A whimper escaped his lips and he forced unbidden tears away; the pain was unbearable. Sully had told him to be careful and now look at him; he was dying.
Ana wrapped a arm around Jon and hid her car where no one could see it. She pulled him in the building and started working on him fast. "Please don't fie on me," she whispered to him. For the first time in a ling while she prayed God as she worked. She hadn't parted in a long time ever since the.fallout started but she did it now.
He nodded weakly, blinking away obscurity as she worked away away on his wounds. Even then, his eyes became unbearably heavy and they closed. Albeit he did something he never did before; he prayed. However, he could feel the pain lessen but he still felt weak; he didn't know if he was going to live or not -- but it was getting better.
Anna finished working on him with shaky fingers. Blood was dripping steadily out of her shoulders by the mintute. And her vision was getting blurry she grabbed his hand and gave a squeeze passing out cold. She wasn't dead yet but her heart was beating very faintly and she gave shallow breaths. She knew he couldn't help her in his condition she wasn't even sure if he could get up.
Opening his eyes at the feeling of his hand being squeezed, he looked down to see Anna on the floor. Groaning in pain, he struggled to get up, getting as far as propping himself up on his elbows. He rolled over onto his stomach and got on his hands and knees, pulling her shirt down so he could see her shoulder and trying to pick the bullet out. Once he got it out, he looked at the supplies that were scattered around and poured a bit of alcohol into her wound before placing a white patch of bandage onto her shoulder to stem the bleeding. He couldn't think -- he couldn't really see, he was helping as much as he could. Placing his head against her chest, he listened to her faint heartbeat.
Anna opened her eyes. "I'm sorry spade," she said shedding a tear for one of the first times since the fallout happened. "I don't think I'm gonna make it," she said to him blinking back more tears. "I'm glad you will though," she said quietly. She entwined her fingers with his waiting for herself to die..
"You aren't dying," he choked out, his voice coming out as if he were demanding her to live; he wasn't letting her leave him; she wasn't going anywhere. His fingers tightened around her hand, as if he were afraid she would disappear if he let her go. He hovered over her, resting his forehead against hers."Stay with me," he whispered, gingerly touching her wound with his other hand."You'll be ok…"
Anna moved a hand to the back of his neck pressing his lips to hers and then she was kissing him. His lips were soft and sweet and what she'd imagined they'd feel like against hers. She kissed him feircly thinking that it was the first and last time she would get to kiss him. Tears ran down her face. "God please," she whispered. She didn't wanna leave she wasn't ready to die. Her heartbeat slowed.considerably after that beating less and less each.passing minute.
Her gesture was surprising, but greatly appreciated. Once they pulled away, he was at a loss of words and began to shed tears profusely."Come on, its just a bullet, you're ok," he murmured, saying anything to make her fight and feel better. He sat up, removing the bandage from her shoulder and pouring more alcohol into the wound before wrapping another bandage around her shoulder in a desperate attempt.
Her heart gave a thump and stopped but restrted though it was still beating faintly. She winced at the pain but started fighting. She fought for spade she fought for the rebels and most.importantly age fought for herself and the thought of being able to fight the government another day. She squeezed spade's hand with renewed energy. She would fight this and she would win.
He placed his hands on her chest and began to gently push against her chest -- anything to just get her heart moving again, a jump start if you would. Seeing her dying before him gave him the fear to move, to see, and to panic. The adrenaline coursing through his veins gave him the strength to try to save her."Anna…" he whispered frantically, placing his other hand on her cheek as if to jolt her back to a healthy bill of life with just a touch.
Her heart beat and she gave a gasp opening her eyes. "Miss me," she said in pain. But her heart beat had picked up again. She squeezed his hand. "I- I think I might make it," she finally croaked out. Her voice was ruff and crackly as if she hadn't used it in a while. Hmm maybe that's on account of me almost dying she thought frowning. She felt his hand on her face and closed her eyes bring the hand ti her mouth she kissed the palm gently and then her hands went limp. She hadn't died she was asleep. She murmered something.
"Yes, very much," he murmured with a crestfallen chuckle, watching as her hands took his and placed it on her lips, her lips kissing the palm in a way that made him feel like he was floating. When she let go, he panicked, but hearing her voice confirmed that she was actually just sleeping and he smiled faintly. Standing up with great difficulty, he limped over to the counters in the other room and took a glass of water and then limped back, placing it beside her for when she woke up. He then limped back into the room, washing his face in the sink, noticing how pale he was in the mirror.
Anna's eyes flickered but she didn't wake up. She she murmered something in her sleep that sounded like irratated tattoo. She also murmured his name once or twice but nothing else. She woke a little bit. Later eyes with a tiny gasp. She looked around with gray difficulty she sat up leaning against a cabinet and saw a glass of water by her and smiled faintly blushing. She gulped it down thirstily.
When he walked out, he was now able to walk relatively normally and a little color had come back to his face. He smiled faintly at her, seeing as she was up and alive."Feeling decent?" He asked her, sitting down and scooting against the cabinet beside her.
"Not really," she said voice still ruff. She leaned her head against his shoulder. "I actually feel terrible but you know what they say smile through the pain and all," she said. "Though now that I'm thinking about it mayne I am feeling better I mean at least enough to make sarcastic comments," she thought aloud.
He kissed the top of her head and chuckled quietly, running his hands through her hair; he didn't know how, but she had stolen his heart."I feel like crap," he proclaimed, sighing quietly.
"You know its funny how you say that right after you kiss me not before," she said jokingly. "Naw don't worry we'll feel like total crap together," she said playing with his fingers.
"I didn't kiss you, you kissed me," he murmured, though he wasn't mad or he wasn't sad, he was actually quite happy. Her kiss had been the best thing that had ever happened to him, but he wasn't going to admit that. He watched quietly as she toyed with his fingers, wondering what was so interesting about them.
Anna started laughing. "Well you kissed me back," she said defensively. She stuck her tongue oh at him. Even though she was generally tough she still had moments ahem she acted Luke any other teenage girl.she crossed her eyes looking down at her tongue ring. "Hmm I actually forgot I had this," she murmered sticking her tongue out again and looking at the stud in the middle.
"I couldn't resist," he countered, knowing he had lost the argument. Glancing at her as silence fell, he spotted the stub on her tongue right before she mentioned forgetting she had gotten it. He looked at the silver stud on her pink tongue, smiling faintly."Are you going to stare at it for hours without end or what?" He asked her, watching as she stared cross-eyed at it.
