How would you describe Marina Singh? How has the past shaped her character? What can we understand about her from the anxieties manifested in her dreams?

I liked Marina as a person, a scientist, friend, etc. She's the type of woman I'd like to know. Her history with Annick is major, and that would cause major trauma to me, and do tons to my self confidence. She chose a whole different field of medicine as a result of Annick's lack of attention during the first delivery. The drug they gave Marina before her travels was one that she had taken many years prior and it created horrible nightmares for her. When she took it again, the nightmares started up again and she became very cautious of it and stopped taking it for awhile, then started again. Fox provided her with antibiotics which were crucial in helping Annick. I liked her tenacity, her care and respect of the people around her. Her dreams were caused by the meds.
