That's funny that you just posted Arch. I was just wondering if Gone Too Far (Troubleshooters, #6) by Suzanne Brockmann counts.

Robin (robin-alisha) | 209 comments Well, The Italian Knights series by Billy London is technically IR Romantic Suspense I think. It's not Clean Romance though. It's Erotic.

TinaNoir | 1457 comments Ride the Fire (Firefighters of Station Five, #5) by Jo Davis by Jo Davis. Fourth book in a series about a firefighting crew. This one features an AA heroine who is the only female firefighter of their group. The previous 3-books tease the unrequited love she has for the captain of the firefighters a WM who is very tortured. It is primarily a romance but has a a good suspense element as well. You don't need to read the previous books because a lot of the back-story is explained. It is not a 'sweet' romance when it comes to the sexual element. This writer writes open door sex scenes. I would classify this as explicit. Here's my review

Deadly Games (Deadly, #4) by Jaycee Clark by Jaycee Clark. yet another 4th book in a series. I did not read the first three and did not feel at all lost. This is very much action/suspense. BW/WM is the pairing. Here's my review

Shiloh Walker often features POC heroines. The Missing (The FBI Psychics #1) by Shiloh Walker and The Departed (FBI Psychics, #2) by Shiloh Walker are part of the same series but you can read them as stand-alones. I would call them paranormal suspense. Both feature AA heroines who have 6th senses and use them in the course of investigating. I did not review 'The Departed' but I did review 'The Missing'. Here's my review (I liked The Departed more, though).

She also wrote a very much connected trilogy:

If You Hear Her (Ash Trilogy, #1) by Shiloh Walker If You See Her (The Ash Trilogy, #2) by Shiloh Walker If You Know Her (The Ash Trilogy, #3) by Shiloh Walker . The last book, If You Know Her features an AA heroine. I do not recommend reading just the third book. The series is really one long story. The third book is simply the third act of the story and ties everything together. The whole series is about one single serial killer who doesn't get caught til the third book but you'd miss all kinds of stuff if you just start there. Here's my review of Book 3 (Also book1, And book 2)

Another three book series, this time following the same character. Selena McCaffrey is an AA heroine who was brought up and groomed to be an asassin:
The Assassin (Selena McCaffrey, #1) by Rachel Butler , Deep Cover (Selena McCaffrey, #2) by Rachel Butler , Scorched (Selena McCaffrey, #3) by Rachel Butler . I've only read the first one, it had a very set-up feel to it and the suspense is heavier than the romance (but the romance is there). Here's my review)

I'll follow up more with later posts...

Kimberly | 21 comments I'm reading Gone Too Far by Suzanne Brockmann again. I love the Team 16/Trouble Shooters series. Sam and Alyssa are one of the best couples.

I haven't read it, but I believe Wild Horses by Asha King is a romantic suspense.

I had a copy of The Assassin and I can't find it anywhere! I guess I'll have to get out and buy one.

Robin (robin-alisha) | 209 comments Serenity King has some Romantic Suspense novels. I haven't read them though.

Through the Fire and Simply Beautiful I think are some. She also had a new one to come today or yesterday but I don't know if it's on GoodReads.

TinaNoir | 1457 comments Has anyone ever read any Juno Rushdan? I never had until I came across a twitter convo about her. She has a series of books:

Every Last Breath (Final Hour #1) by Juno Rushdan Nothing to Fear (Final Hour #2) by Juno Rushdan

They are spy, romantic suspense thrillers. The heroine is biracial (black/white) the hero I think is Russian. I downloaded the first one from my library to read, but saw that the first one, at least, is part of the audible Escape package if you like audio books.

I hope they are good, I plan to read it as soon as I am done with my current read. I am always looking for good rom suspense with a black heroine. I just think it is too bad she has flown completely under the radar since she is also an own voices author at that.
