I've got a lot of interests and many of them deal with nerdy goodies. I can gush and exclaim and all out bawl with the best of 'em once something catches my attention. I really mean bawl, by the way. Not enough dignity to do silent tears, hahahah.

Particular loves include Doctor Who, Star Wars, Game of Thrones, Bat-Family, Uncanny X-Force, and Haruki Murakami.

I've never been big into comics, but I watched Buffy the Vampire Slayer and Angel a couple years ago, so now I'm reading all the related graphic novels. I love reading them, except I always think everyone looks alike. At first I blamed the artists but this is a pretty consistent problem for me, so apparently it's just me.

Hi, I'm Deanna. I also read a variety of genres, but fantasy was my first love. I don't read a lot of comic books, probably because they simply weren't available to me as a young girl and I've never gotten into the habit.

My 9-year-old son and I have the same tastes in movies. I'm not sure what that says about me, but there you have it. We see all the superhero movies together when they come out. Captain America, Thor, Iron Man, Batman and the Avengers are some of them.

I've been a geek for a long time. When I was a little girl I pretended to be Wonder Woman. I'd walk around all day with tinfoil on my wrists to deflect any stray bullets.

I like Dr. Who. Star Trek and most of its spinoffs. Huge Buffy The Vampire fan, but I also like Xena. She was like the slayer of the ancient world.

I read all of the LOTR in high school, just for fun, before it became really popular again. I also enjoy Terry Brooks Shannara series. I heard that Sonar Entertainment just bought the rights to it and will making into a tv series. Cool.

Hey everyone! Norah from Kenya here. Just re-inducted myself back into the reading world after years of playing video games and watching bad comedies. Feels really good to finish a book. :) I also love manga! To the point of wanting to cosplay, which, I daresay, has not been attempted here!! But getting, or even making inspired outfits here is hard.. Anyway, I'm currently into fantasy and young adult fiction (so much wriggle room) and I'm thinking of writing up a science fiction story for NaNoWriMo this year. I had to take a break from reading for the past few years, as the college I went to sucked out my brain - I think it may have tried to get my soul too. I finally got back to my beloved books when a friend recommended Game of Thrones.

My interests include reading, writing, playing video games, hanging with friends, and watching tv.

I'm a big fan of Harry Potter, Doctor Who, and Sherlock. JK Rowling, Terry Pratchett, Charlaine Harris, Tolkien, and Robert Kirkman are my favorite authors. I enjoy books about vampires, werewolves, and witches. I love to read manga, and my favorite is Rurouni Kenshin.

I haven't read a lot of books that my nerdier friends would consider sci-fi, but am always open to experiencing a good book, even if I learn it's not quite to my tastes by the time I'm finished.

In regards to the manga or comics: I just discovered that my local library has a (small) selection of them, and I have been requesting them by the handful. You might check your local library for their selection before looking for a comic shop. There's nothing worse than buying a book only to discover you spent your money on something you don't enjoy.

I could recommend manga, and even a few comics, until the end of time, but I'd suggest just checking your library first and browsing to see what catches your interest. :)

:D Probably my biggest, dorkiest fangirl moment was when I got to be part of a panel reading in New York and one of the other authors was Amber Benson. So. Starstruck. To me anyone who sang in the Buffy musical might as well be an immortal goddess.

I'm nerd/geek! I LOVE anime, watching it, drawing it! My favorite anime is Gungrave! I also like Gantz, Bleach, Burst Angel, Speed Grapher, Ergo Proxy, Naruto , and Soul Eater. There's a bunch more but naming them all would take all day. I prefer watching the japanese versions. I love manga as well, my favorite manga artist is Meago. You can find some of her work on deviantart.com I like the Robin hood series on BBC, Torchwood as well. I have seen all of the superhero movies and own every one of the movies that's on dvd. I play xbox 360, PS3, and World of Warcraft on the computer. In my spare time I write, read, crochet, take photographs, sketch, blog, and play video games.
