Oh yeah... I told her about the Genre Underground and our mission statement. She thinks it's a great idea and wishes us nothing but success.
Can't believe I forgot that part. I need some sleep.

I've been spreading the word about the Genre Underground around WesterCon65. I've got some other small-press and Indie writers interested in what we're doing, as well as artists and some editors. Soon we'll have a "reasources" page over on the website as well as some awesome new books to check out.

So, tonight I was at the "Meet the Guests of Honor" party, and I happened to bump into Robin Hobb, the writer GoH. She and I chatted for about half an hour. She was very encouraging of my self-publishing success and said something of the effect that I was at the forefront of pioneering the future of professional writing. More and more, with established writers I speak to at conventions, I'm finding them accepting of the self/Indie publishing revolution. It's the literary agents and publishers who are the ones up in arms about how evil it is.
Take heart my fellow Indies, we're gaining a foothold. Welcome to the revolution.
More later.
