((ok cools))Alexandria turned back as she reached the barrier to watch the camp for the last time until she came back.
Lana stood next to Alexandria. "It's a little weird, isn't it?"
Lana glanced at her. "It must be different for you, though. You just came here, and now you're leaving."
"Yeah," Lana said. "But we'll be back soon. Where's Seiji?"
"Yeah, yeah," Lana said. "I've always got my weapons ready." She gave one last glance back at where she knew the camp was, even if she couldn't see it, the turned and walked up the hill.
Hermes appeared in front of Seiji, dressed as an ordinary jogger. "Hey," he said, giving them a mischievous smile. He glanced at Lana, who recognized him instantly.
"Dad!" Lana said. "What are you doing here?" Hermes grinned and glanced at Seiji. "I have a message to give you."
Hermes grinned a Alexandria, not missing her discomfort. "Don't worry, this one time I'll stop myself from stealing your stuff." Lana smiled at that. Hermes continued, "I'm a man on a mission. Er, god."
Lana rolled her eyes. "Dad, what's the message?"
Lana rolled her eyes. "Dad, what's the message?"
Alexandria gave him a Ok seriously just get on with it look. She really didn't have a taste for gods, they were weird and a coul be mean.
Hermes held up his hands. "Okay, okay, I get the point. Seiji, your father wanted to warn you of 'probable future attacks and all.'"
Hermes shrugged. "That's what he said. I'm just the messenger."
Hermes studied them intently, oblivious to their impatience. He motioned to Lana, who followed him a few feet away. He pulled our his phone and said, "George, I need the package." George said, "Martha ate it." Martha snapped, "Did not!" "Did too!" "Did not! You did!" "I didnt-" Hermes interrupted, "The package." George huffed and dropped the package, which turned out to be a lyre. Lana took it, turning it over and looking at it. "What is-" Hermes explained, "You can only use it once, so use it well. Now I'll be off." He be can to glow, and Lana looked away. He glowed brighter and brighter until he disappeared in a flash of light.
Alexandria almost watche Hermes but realized what was going on a ducked her head. "What did he give you Lana?"
Lana quickly slipped the lyre into her pocket. "Nothing important. Let's go."
Lana absently fingered the lyre in her pocket. It can only be used once, Hermes had told her. But for what?
Lana nodded and started walking. "Let's catch a ride," she said. "Instead of walking."
Lana glanced at Seiji. "I know some people who I can call up and get a ride."
Lana grinned. "Just a guy who owes me. But we'll have to at least walk until we get there." She started to walk again. "He lives right here, really close to camp."
"This way," Lana said cheerfully again, though she was still thinking about the lyre. "Like I said, it's really close."
As they walked through the streets, she pointed into a back alley. "Not a sound," she hissed, looked around carefully, then ducked into the back alley.

Lana nodded toward a shadowy area behind a huge Dumpster. "Stay there," she whispered. "I'll be back in a second." Without waiting for a response, she crept down the alleyway unseen, all her senses alert. Her "friend" did not live in a safe area.
Alexandria had followed silently, not really sure what do to. She felt out of place here, so she just did what she was told.
Lana stopped behind an old car wreckage, looked around carefully, then went around it and opened the door of the car. She ducked inside, where it opened into a small hollowed out dugout type room. The room was about ten feet by ten feet, not too big, and was piled high with an odd assortment of junk. Lana stepped carefully over the clutter and called, "Rivet?" One of the piles of junk moved and an extremely short man with numerous warts on his face poked his head up. He had a very toothy grin, very bushy eyebrows, and a greenish tinge to his face. He was short but very wide, and his overall impression was very comical.
Lana grinned down at the little man, who was at least a foot and a half shorter than her. He grinned toothily back. Despite his unusual appearance, there was no malice in him. "So, my little devil, you're back, are you?" he asked cheerfully. "Can't say I was expecting you."
Lana retorted, "I told you not to call me that, Rivet." But she was smiling.
He countered, "You get to call me Rivet, I get to call you 'my little devil.'"
"Hey, that's not fair!" Lana protested. "You never told me your real name."
"Neither did you," he pointed out. Lana scowled at that in mock annoyance. "Anyway," she said, getting down to business. "I'm not here just for a friendly visit, which you've probably guessed. I need something from you." The little man raised his eyebrows, his eyes glinting with curiosity. Lana continued, "I need a ride. You can lend us one, right?" Rivet nodded his bald dome shaped head, grinning. "Of course. Anything for my little devil. I haven't forgotten that you saved my life." Lana grinned. "Thanks, Rivet. Where is this ride?" Rivet grinned wider and pointed upward, where he underside of the wreckage could be seen. Lana looked at it incredulously. "That old thing can get us across the country?!" Rivet's grin grew wider. "Of course! You don't doubt my skill do you?" Lana laughed. "Okay, okay. We'll take it."
"Who's we?" Rivet asked abruptly. Lana stood. "I'll introduce you."
They walked out through the seemingly smashed door of the car and headed back to Seiji and Alexandria. Lana nodded towards Rivet. "Guys, this is Rivet. Rivet, this is Flint-" she pointed to Seiji and then to Alexandria "-and this is Polly." She grinned at the three of them.

Seiji cocked his head at Lana, wondering what she was playing at, and question was visible in his eyes, then turned to Rivet, smiling. "Hey."
Lana shrugged when Seiji looked at her. "Flint, Rivet's a son of Hephaestus, like you," she said. Rivet nodded his dome shaped head excitedly. "So you're Archer's new friends, are you? Every time she turns up, little devil here has a different set of friends with her."
Lana winked at Alexandria then turned to Rivet and clapped her hands together. "Okay, Rivet, we've got to go. See ya!" Before he could protest, she seized Seiji's arm and dragged him up to the junked car. She motioned Alexandria over. "This is our ride," she said, grinning broadly.
