It's ity bity. Like small enough that it's more like a little spring than a pond but there are some koi fish in it.... It's very calming and peaceful and located way way way at the edge of camp. Hardly anyone knows it's there unless this is their second year.

Joyce laid at the edge of the pond. She smiled to herself and her feet were up in the air, legs bent at the knees. Her head was propped up on her hands which were bent on her elbows and she was laying on her stomach as she watched the little fish swim around. It was calming and peaceful to be here and most people didn't even know the pond existed. She was a bit upset that she hadn't seen Riley yet and it was the first week of camp. Oh I hope he came back.....I still need to be his friend and make sure he is happy,
Riley wasn't surprised when he found himself heading in the direction of the pond. He used to spend his time there because not many people knew where it was, and it was a nice place to relax. That is until Joyce had started joining him every chance she got. He couldn't help but admit she had started to grow on him. Speak of the devil. "Hey Joyyceee." he said, introducing his presence since she hadn't seemed to notice him walking toward her. He drug out her name as he always did, and took didn't waste time--he immediately took a spot lying next to her.
Joyce looked over and smiled brightly, if someone didn't know she was an air elemental people often mistaked her for a summer fey. When she smiled her whole entire being lit up and she couldn't help but look like she was glowing. "You are here! I was starting to think you didn't come back." she pouted for a brief second and then frowned, "Where have you been all week? I've been looking for you all week and-" she stopped and then her mouth made a little 'o' shape. Her brown eyes widened a bit and her brows furrowed, "You haven't been avoiding me on purpose, have you?" she asked a very very very slight tone of warning to her voice. She would never actually be mad but she could at least pretend to be a little offended.
Riley's eyes widened the more she talked. He had forgotten how much she could fit into one sentence. "I'm not avoiding you, promise." he said first, just so she'd make her lip stop quivering in a hurt facade. "But I have been pretty busy. But I'm happy to see you, trust me. Your smile is as dazzling as always, even more so now."
Joyce smiled again and nodded, "Alright. You are forgiven." she smirked over at him, "your lucky I'm a forgiving person or else I would have thrown a fish at you." she warned and nodded seriously, as if that was the worst thing imaginable. Then she looked at Riley and raised a brow, "Sooooo how was your year? You haven't seen me since last summer and I want to know all about your school year." she said seriously and put her head back on her elbows and squirmed a bit. Facing him she looked at him eagerly awaiting his story.
It took a lot of self control for Riley not to roll his eyes. Gods she could be annoying. She knew he didn't like to talk about his life. "Why don't you tell me about your year?" he stated, closing the option of him droning on about school. Blech. He leaned his head down, resting it on his arm as he gazed at her.
Joyce nodded, "Alright. Well I went to school and got suspended for getting in a fight. I waited on my Foster parents hand and foot like always, so nothing new there." she paused for a moment as she thought and then her eyes lit up, "Oh! I got a job as a babysitter and I got to take care of all sorts of little kids. I was going to use the money as college money but then my Fosters took it." she shrugged and smiled at him. "So your turn." she said, wanting to hear anything. "C'mon tell me about one day?" she urged.
((She is more annoying than I could have ever guessed -____- )) "Well, this one day I went to the park and accidentally used compulsion on this girl...she sort of kicked her boyfriend in a place that should never be kicked. He called her fat, and I told her she should stand up for herself." he smiled at the memory, still seeing the poor guy's expression. He didn't feel bad though. Riley thought the prick had deserved it. "And that's the only day your getting."
[haha yup :D]Joyce nodded, "Well I'm just glad you've never used your jedi mind tricks on me." she said honestly and then shifted once more so she was looking at the pond. Watching the little fish swim around she lapsed into silence. Inside she was still jumping around with happiness, hey he had shared one day with her. That was more than she had ever gotten before and in her eyes that was progress. He was learning to be more social.
((Like...not even in a good way. Like a Blaire would have already killed her-way :P )) Riley snorted, shaking his head. Sometimes she could also be funny. Despite her really annoying personality, she was so blissfully ignorant about the world...that you couldn't help but smile at some of the things she said. When you weren't scowling at the other 50 % that is. "How do you know I haven't already?"
[lol yeah but Blaire likes to kill alot of people]Joyce smiled, "Because I'm still around. And you find me annoying so if you had used your jedi mind tricks you would have made me go away." she said simply, which was surprisingly intelligent. In her mind if he bothered to use his powers on her then the only reason would be to get rid of her. After all as much as he had opened up the smallest of possibilities to her, he probably was still about ready to push her away at any given moment like he seemed to do to anyone who tried to be his friend.
((Well they give her legit reasons -_- )) Riley couldn't help but smile. "I guess you couldn't be more right. If I was using my jedi mind tricks, it would be to get rid of you." he granted her. The one thing he didn't do to Joyce was lie. Sometimes he didn't think she was very bright, so he couldn't be untrustworthy to someone that vulnerable and kind. Because she was, kind.
[lol so true. Well any friendship they might have had probably died with the bean bag stunt xD]Joyce nodded and sat up, looking at him she smiled. "You're getting better." she said simply. Joyce had no idea about Riley's past. She hadn't even found out that he was an angel until half way through their first summer. Even though she bothered him quite a bit she never pryed into his life, she would ask, yes. But if he said no then she would drop it and move on.
((she was to be covered in beans anyway :P But when she see's the picture he uploaded. Tsk tsk. Heads will roll.)) Riley rolled his eyes, and he turned to gaze at the pond instead of Joyce. She was cute, but not cute enough to excuse her annoying demeanor. "Getting better at what?" he sighed, tone sarcastic. She always made comments like that. Treating him like he was antisocial or something.
Chase walked into the pond and blinked at the sight of Joyce, he couldn't deny the way his heart picked up at the sight of her. Chase shook his head and decided he would give her time with her friend. Taking a deep breath he walked to the other side of the pond and put his feet in the water as his hands kept shooting out and catching fish before releasing them. He smiled slightly at it and shook his head, having fun.
[lol yes yes they shall!]"Being honestly friendly and open." Joyce said simply and shrugged before looking over at Chase. Watching him with the fish she gave him a slight wave and turned back towards Riley. "You know. Why don't you just persuade me to leave you alone?" She knew he got annoyed with her easily and she had always wondered why he put up with her.
Chase smiled and looked up before giving her another small wave, he would wait until she was done talking to ask her out to a date with him. Chase never did this stuff, not since his accident anyway. But Chase hadn't felt this way about a girl in a long time and he was going to use every second of it to his advantage.
Riley thought about it for a second, then came with the answer closest the the truth that was polite. "I'm an angel." he said dreamily, grinning at her. He noticed Chase as well, and nodded in his direction. "I just came to say Hi, I figured you'd be here. But he looks like he wants to talk to you, so I should probably go." he remarked. It was also because with a girl like Joyce, you could only handle her in small increments of time.
Joyce rolled her eyes and nodded, "Alright. Sure. But we both know that you aren't full angel." she said jokingly and then stood and gave Riley a wave over her shoulder before walking over and sitting down next to Chase. "You stalking me? or are you just gifted at showing up where I am?" she asked him curiously.
Chase blushed "Honestly, I wasn't stalking you. I just like this place cause it's away from everyone else." Chase laughed and ran a hand over the back of his neck nervously. "Listen, um, Joyce....I uh..." he blushed more "Wow I really suck at this, would you consider maybe going on a date with me tonight? Nothing big I promise...just maybe a picnic?" He bit his lip feeling like an idiot.
Joyce raised a brow and shook her head, "You're crazy if you're asking me out on a date." she said and laughed before pushing his shoulder lightly and nodding, "Alright. Sure. But don't say I didn't warn you. After all most guys tend to think I'm annoying after they spend about 15 minutes with me, just ask Riley. He had to deal with me all last summer."
Riley walked away, shaking his head. Joyce was sure something. He glanced over his shoulder to see her talking to Chase, and he suppressed a smirk. Good luck to him, he thought, walking back towards the more relative part of camp. He wasn't so sure if he felt like talking to anyone else today though...he was still mildly annoyed with Karina.
Aria wandered through the trees. She was utterly and completely lost. She was just about to give up and sit on a tree trunk. when her ears caught the sound of trickling water. She continued a little further and found a small pond. Aria sat by the water and watched the fish swimming around. She sighed gratefully; the pond was calming and she could already feel her headache beginning to fade away.
Karina fluttered toward the pond, dancing her way over their. She giggled and sighed though, she was still bored and nothing has changed that at all today. She pouted and sat by the pond. She reached into the pool with her hand and felt the cool water with her warm hand. She looked around sighing as she looked up at the sun, today was just so boring.
Aria looked up at the girl who had just sat down on the other side of the pond. She wondered vaguely what species she was, but was a little scared to find out. She had heard there were vampires and demons at this camp, and didn't fancy meeting one in the middle of the woods, so she kept quiet and watched the water.
Karina focused on the water and tried to control the water. She made the water go up and then for shaped. She smiled softly and with the flick of a wrist it dance around like bracelets. Then she froze it into ice and smiled softly, she had done it. And the ice even maintained it's shape.
Aria's eyes widened as she watched what the girl did with the water. She had never seen anything like it before. She didn't even notice the soft "Wow," that escaped her mouth. "That's really cool," she said, smiling at the girl.
Karina whipped around and instantly her wall was back up....But the girl looked nice enough. "Who are you?"She asked partially curious and tilted her head."Thanks I guess."
Aria jumped a little when the girl spun around. "I'm Aria," she said. "I'm new here, it's my first year. Are you a water elemental?" she asked. She was still trying to get a hang of all the names. For years, she had thought she was the only one with powers and meeting so many different species was a little overwhelming.
Karina raised an eyebrow,"A water elemental? I guess,"She shrugged. "Spring is the season I'm the most in tune with so I can control water. Which is good especially in the summer since everyone always wants to get wet. I'm Karina by the way."

Chase was blushing

Which is good especially in the summer since everyone alw..."Aria nodded. "That seems like a useful power," she said. She still wasn't sure what her power was useful for. She supposed it was good for defense; she could make any attacker she exactly what she wanted, which included absolutely nothing. It would be rather difficult to harm someone if you were blind. She felt her power was more of a party trick though.
Karina raised an eyebrow,"So you know ,my power but I don't know your's. Care to share?"She asked her lips twitching into a smile but she managed to keep it in a smirk. "Soooo?"She asked impatiently after a while of silence.
Aria smiled mischievously and closed her eyes, concentrating hard. She wasn't touching Karina so this was going to take a lot more energy. She took a deep breath and focused. The pond between them turned a silvery color and a small golden bud sprang out of the center of it. The bud grew into a large golden tree that stood way taller than the rest of the trees in the forest. Suddenly, the thin leaves of the tree began to fall off and float down to the ground. The moment the leaves touched the ground, they disintegrated, leaving a fine coating of gold dust on the ground. Aria opened her eyes and the whole illusion was gone. She sighed wearily and looked at Karina to see her reaction.
Karina blinked after the illusion finished and cracked a small smile,"Nice power,it's good,it distracts enemies." She held out her wrist and the iced bracelets turned to water again. It wasn't as hard to control water but it was hard to change her form. With ease she had the water float up to Aria. She concentrated and turned it to ice bracelets around Aria's wrist.
Aria yawned, that had been a difficult illusion and she was worn out. "Yeah, it's not like I have that many enemies though," she said. Come to think of it, she didn't have any enemies as far as she knew. Aria watched as the water wrapped around her wrist and froze there. She clinked the ice bracelets together. "I bet there's a lot of fun things you can do with your power," she said.
Karina shrugged,"I was a bit confused at you'e question earlier. I'm not an elemental,I thought you were talking about my powers. I'm one of the fae, my dad was a fall while my mom was a spring but I got most of my power from her."
"Oh, I see," Aria said. She had gotten her species mixed up once again. Marina's comment about being stronger during the springtime made a lot more sense now. "So is controlling water your only power?" she asked, wanting to learn as much as she could.
Karina shook her head,"Not really,I have some power over the wind but it's harder to control. And if I'm lucky and the time is right I can cause snow or make it rain,"She told her smiling. "What about you? Is that you're only power? Illusions?"
Aria nodded. "I can do images and sounds. The illusions are much more vivid and last longer when I'm touching the person. Projections like the one I just did are a lot harder," she explained.
Karina nodded,"but would if someone has a closed off mind? Or their power protects their mind. Can you get into them? Or no?"She asked curiously. She plopped herself down on the grass.
Aria frowned. "Hm, that's a good question, I'm not sure," she said thoughtfully. The only people she had used her powers on were her family and a few peoople she had met at camp that day, adn all of them had been willing. "I'll have to try that out sometime."
Karina nodded,"Well I have to go see you around Aria,"She winked at her, laughing. "I'll see you around the camp,"With that she got up and walked away slowly. Aria intrigued her well, a lot of first years did. They had no control of their powers at least second years, kind of do.
"See you later," Aria said as Karina got up and walked away. She hadn't met many people at the camp so far, but Karina was definitely the nicest. A few minutes later, Aria stood up as well and began walking back to camp.
Angel sighed. Why was she so spastic and clumsy? She sat on a rock with her head leaning on her fist. She threw a pebble at the water and it skipped a few times.
"...Okay Mom, I understand...Yeah, I will. Love you too, bye." Kia sighed and put her phone away as she walked out to the pond. That hadn't been the best conversation ever with her mom, but then again, her home life had been a kind of living hell since her dad found about her... abnormality, as he called it. Rolling her eyes, Kia walked over by the pond, looking up at the sky. Maybe flying wouldn't be such a bad option right now.
Angel looked from side to side, just to see who was around her. "Kia?" She called, slightly curious. Was that really her? Just then, the song Smooth Criminal somehow ended up playing on repeat in her head.
Kia heard her name and looked in that direction. "Angel!" She said brightly, and walked over. "Hows it going?" She asked, plopping herself down beside Angel. Being and angel herself, Kia and Angel had become fast friends the past year, and Kia hadn't seen her since the end of camp the previous year. "I heard your became a councellor, is that true?"
