Dealership
River went down to the hall and to her office ((supposed to be office, right?)). Her clients waited for her, like always, anxious and deprived. She wondered if the emotions she was going to sell were her own sister, Rain's. And these people were going to devour it like a person on crack. She always wondered what would they feel about poison.
Avril's black combat boots (view spoiler) clacked on the old linoleum of the floor. The hall was long and the walls were bland white. (view spoiler)There were some scattered benched down the long empty hall and brown doors. 283, 276, 269... She thought the numbers searching for office number 196. Finally she reached the door. The silver numbers glimmered sinisterly. She knocked on Dr. what was her name? door, shifting her weight from foot to foot as she waited for an answer.
September sat in her seat waiting for her next customer as she felt dizzy she drank water but it didn't do much.
She knocked again September, that's what it was. she though triumphantly. "Hello?" she called through the door putting her ear on the wood.,
"Hi... I'm here to sell not buy." She murmured What memory am I going to sell today. She frowned, so far she'd sold her first kiss, and the day her mother died. What next? When would it end?
"okay," she said grabbing on to the door, feeling a little bit of dizziness again but then sat down.
She sat in the leather chair that sat across from the doctor. Avril folded her hands in her lap. She was extremely jittery.
River entered September's office and leaned against the doorway. "Hey, my client's gonna be here soon, you got some memories, yet? They are some kind of hot-shots, I'll totally pay you back later." River was supposed to receive memories today from the government officials but apparently they were late and rich citizens were not the patient type.
"uh, sure," September said. "hold on" September was going to give one of her memories, her first kiss, turns out the guy she kissed was a complete jerk. She went in the bath room and took out the memory, she put in a jar or something, then went back to River and gave her the memory. "you don't have to pay me back " she said.
"Great, thanks. Sure you don't need anything back? I can give you a memory when that stupid official at last graces me with his presence." River said, ignoring the citizen sitting in the room.
" don't worry and the official they don't even care to send you the memory, they made me walk all the way there in the middle of a snow storm a few months ago in the snow storm to get the dawm memories." September said.
"Bunch of idiots, these officials." Then lowering her voice, River asked. "Any news on your family, yet?" River was pretty sure her sister missing for eight months was definitely at a gifted prison. She had no idea how to save her.
"no, but I'm afraid they'll drain her," September said concerned. "have you heard from rain?" she whispered. September already told river about her family. And how Kelly's in the gifted prison
"She never managed to hide her emotions well. I'm pretty sure that she is at a Gifted prison. But how am I supposed to save her?" River asked September. She was getting desperate.
"don't worry will find a way, I need to see if kelly is strong enough to last through it in till I come, and you already know I have to find locus, anyway let's not let thought rich snobs wait any more
"You're right. I'll go now. Can't keep my clients waiting or I am pretty sure they'll trash my office like the last time. See you later." River said. She left without a glance at the citizen and to her office.
Arianne walked through the door, her hands shaking and her eyes roaming the giant room, her wild gaze searching. Her dark, almost-black finally rested her eyes on what she appeared to be the front desk, though she was stopped in her tracks by two beefy guards. "Sorry, you don't look like you have an appointment." He said, for the security system would have noticed her and matched her with the picture of people with appointments. Instead it had said she was an intruder. "P-please... I Need... Im low.... PLEASE!" She begged, fighting like a mad woman to be free of them.
River heard a girl screaming. She came out of her office and saw the girl struggling against two guards. The girl seemed as old as River. River usually ignored such cases but today she felt like helping this one. Besides, her clients were nowhere to be seen. Sighing, she went to the guards. "She's with me, I believe I forgot to save her appointment on the computer." River was cautious enough not to express any emotion on her face. When the guards left, she ordered the girl, "Follow me."
Arianne followed, her eyes wide as she turned her eyes back at the guards then back to the mysterious girl, her head flying back in forth. She blinked, seeing the girl was already down the hall and quickly followed behind her, her hand skimming the cool walls.
River opened her office door, standing aside for the girl to enter. Closing the door behind her, River casually took her seat behind her desk and motioned the girl to sit on the chair across from her.
Arianne did just that, looking like a deer caught in headlights, her fingers tap tap tapping against the arm of the leather chair. Her wild mane of black hair was a mess and her clothes were wrinkled and crumpled. She tugged at the hum of her gray v-neck, nervously glancing around.
Avril raised an eyebrow and examined the dealer. "you're a feeler?" she asked. She hadn't met one in some time. "obviously I am as well. You aren't um in league with the officials are you?" she asked

Arianne nodded, gripping the chairs arms with such force that her knuckles turned bone white. She locked eyes with the dealer for a moment before turning away.
"Arianne. Arianne Derby." She said, exhaling slowly, trying to calm her frantic nerves and think straight so she could make a deal.
"Um not buy exactly.... I mean I have n-no money.. but I am willing to do something for you.. a-anything really. I don't care if-if its dangerous or anything im willing to do it."
River felt like laughing. "You have to be kidding." But River knew she was serious by the expression on her face. "And exactly what services can you provide me, that I need and don't already have?"
"I am willing to do anything, no matter the cost. Just ask. I'll go where other won't. I could... I could... I dont know... ANYTHING! Please" She knew she was pathetic, but she was hooked. SHe wouldnt think clearly until she had her dose of emotions.

"yes i am a feeler," she whispered. "but the officials dont know i am" she said still in a low voice. she handed avril the money, " take it" she said. " i dont want your memeroies" she then got up and opened the door, and signled her out

A single person knows and I'll personally make sure you never get emotions again. So listen, what do you know about the Gifted prison? Ever thought of breaking in?" She asked, reading Arriane's expressions.
Ariannes expression fell before she took a deep breath. "I have considered breaking in once, a very long time ago. I even formed a plan, but never went through it. Bu-but if thats what I must do.... I am willing." She said and dropped her head.
Ariannes eyes glazed over for a moment as she wracked her brain for why. Why, why , why. When the memory surfaced she shook her head. "Why for the emotions of course. Theyre freshest there."
River looked away. "Of course. So why didn't you ever went with it? Especially since they have the 'freshest emotions'." River sneered the last two words.
Avril shook her head. "I can't do that." she muttered. She tossed back the money and watched the other feeler. "just can't take your money."
Darcy walked past on the street. She kept her eyes expressionless. When you're on the street you act as if you act like you feel nothing. She tugged her baseball cap down hoodie over it hiding her red flames of hair that stood out in a crowd. She always ttried to hide her hair so she would never stand out again. She remembered the last time she didn't.
Ruby/Pinkemina wrote: "Avril shook her head. "I can't do that." she muttered. She tossed back the money and watched the other feeler. "just can't take your money."""i have no interest in your memories" September said
"I realized it was just stupid. I could just get them here or on the streets." She closed her eyes and breathed through her nose, attempting to clear her mind.

"i have no interest in your mem..."
"No." She said her voice firm and her jaw set. "I have to give memories to you. The government officials can 'Smell'" She did air quotes with the word smell "The stronger the memory, the closer they get to me. Sooner or later I will be caught. I can make it later if you take a memory." She said.

Arianne nodded, ready to spill. "I know where the Hideaway is, where the emotions are flown to directly from the prison. But you knew that being a dealer and stuff.... well anyway." She said, trying to stay on track. " I will sneak onto a plane as the cargo is being unloaded, hiding among the empty crates. Then I would fly back in the plane, right into the prison. Then I would do what I needed to do."
She glared at the dealer. "then don't be generous." she snarled throwing the twenty at her angrily.
