Yeah choosing is tough. I think if I knew more about each, like if there was a short detailed description in the back of one of the books if each type i might be able to choose then
However, i get the impression Elementals have more.... pride..? Either it's some kind of vanity displayed by the characters or that -as far as i recall- Derek has most of the greatest sorcerers in the series as elementals.. Whereas adepts are a bit more secluded and self-fulfilled.. That's why i think most people would find elementals more appealing.. I mean, come on.. How cool is it to be able to throw fire and everything..?How is it to you?

I think elemental is the most "standard" of the options, people know what to expect of elementals powers. This might be why the are more accepted in magical society, because there are more of them, that's probably why it remembered as the greatest war heros by so many of the other characters.Adept are much more unpredictable and their powers are often a little weird. (eg I've always found Anton Shudder's power a little scary)

wait I already do!!...
I am dead!!! MWAHAHAHA
JKS
Hmmm...There is so much to choose from...One thing is clear: I don't want to be the standard magician. But then again, Elementals have a wide variety of powers to choose from. Adepts have what every human already has, just magically enhanced, so that's a bit redundant. Necromancy....I don't do graves. I like the darkness bit....Is there an opposite to Necromancy, because that I could do. If not, my final choice is Elementals. And then I'd practice, and practice, and practice until I'm on the Avatar's level or greater. :P
Gosh, that really is hard, I honestly can't decide!! I think I'd really want to be a Teleporter just because there's so many places I want to travel since I've never been outside of the U.S., or to any of the interesting places in the U.S. :/ Although, I also would absolutely love being an Elemental, that would be so awesome!!!
I love the idea of teleporting (I also love Harry Potter and it's very similar to apparating) but for some reason I always imagine myself being an elemental or a necromancer, I think it may be because the book shows Valkyrie's POV Mir than anyone so it highlights all the strengths of those to aspects of magic.
A Teleporting assassin-for-hire! Also is 12! And sarcastic! Also super agile! And fights with two swords! Heck yeah!!!
Haha, teleportation is definitely up there. Being able to travel for free!!! Thats pretty much the main draw for me, I can't afford airplane tickets!!
I like the teleportation idea. My friend and I, not too long ago, were talking about super powers we wanted, and mine was teleportation so I could see the world.
I liked the version from the movie jumper where you can teleport to places you have seen like in post cards or T.V.

What type of base magic would you have?
Would you be an adept? (Adept mages have dedicated their life and magical potential to a single set of powers, although the scope of these powers might vary
Types of adept magic
Symbol Magic, Teleportation, tunnelling, Necromancy, Sensitivity and more
Would you be elemental? (Is the manipulation of fire, earth, water and air for both offensive and defensive purposes)
