Brand, you got your wish. Here's your Doors thread!

IMO, The Doors are overrated and I feel like Jim Morrison sometimes got overly dramatic but there's no denying their creativity. Songs like Break on Through to the Other Side, Soul Kitchen, The End, etc. are still as gripping and imaginative as they were back in the '60s. And that's just from their debut album, they also made some great albums later on.

Hater. :P

Jim Morrison was an amazing poet, and it shows. His voice is absolutely superb as well. They've released many brilliant albums and none of them are bad, I've found."

I'm NOT a hater of The Doors. I like many of their albums. At least, the ones that were released while Jim Morrison was alive. Haven't heard the stuff that came out later.

For posthumous releases, there was one in 1978 that had backing tracks by the other members of the band, with Morrison's spoken word poetry. And right after he died, there were two studio albums by the surviving members. I haven't listened to them, but I think they were not as successful as the Morrison albums.
