Me, Myself, and I *Part deep within the gardens. Since it's so far in, not many people know about it.*

message 3: by rachel (new)

rachel Evelyn had gone home, switched into some jeans and a green shirt before heading out to the Gardens. She walked carefully on the stone path, her shoes tapping lightly. It was dark, which added a mysterious edge to it. She gazed around at the trees, a peaceful feeling overcoming her. She was glad to be away from the Ball, with the loud music and endless dancers.

Me, Myself, and I Gauge was still brushing sand off his white tux pants, his shoulder leaned against a tree only a foot or two away from the pond. His tie was still at the beach, bloodied and left on the shore. He was breathing slightly heavy, having healed the girl and than walked all the over to the garden. I'm wiped. He'd been planning to go back to the boardwalk after he'd cleaned up a little bit, but his feet had clearly had a different idea in mind. The lights were beautiful, reflecting off the tiny pond in front of him.

message 5: by rachel (new)

rachel Evelyn walked along the path, her hands in her pockets as she admired the stars above. Her arms lightly brushed the leaves beside her as she walked, making soft, rustling sounds. Something flickering in the trees ahead and she tore her gaze from the beautiful sky. She paused, gazing through the trees, silently wondering what lay ahead. She stepped from the path, venturing toward the different colored lights ahead.

Me, Myself, and I Gauge glanced up, hearing the sound of heels and rustling of leaves. He straightened up, his eyes moving past the pond. The lights around the bushes danced over the lower half of his face, exposing the snakebites wrapped around his bottom lip. "Hello?" His low voice broke across the silent and he had a moment to think, Damn. If I were in a horror movie, that would have just made me the first to die. He snorted at his own paranoia, dark eyes scanning the thicket of the garden across the pond.

message 7: by rachel (new)

rachel ((She changed out of her formal wear before she came here. c: She's just wearing a green shirt and some pants.))

Evelyn paused at hearing the voice over the thick silence, Crap, I didn't think anyone would be back here during the ball. She was silent for a moment, deciding whether to call back a quiet Hello! or Hi! She remained silent as she stepped out of the trees, prepared to finally reply until the beauty of the lights stopped her, her mouth gaped slightly. So many different colors reflecting off the pond in a beautiful way... She took a moment to absorb this before clearing her throat awkwardly, glancing around for whoever spoke earlier, "Um, hi?" She began awkwardly, still in search of whoever was here.

ᴀʀᴏᴛʜ [hiatus] (thelovelymsels) Michael sighed softly feeling better he wouldn't be around a whole lot of people. And besides that girl who introdcued herself to him wouldn't really care if she saw him again. She would move onto a new guy and he would be like he never exsited. He sighed softly and sat near the water frowning. He made a waterball appear and twirled it around in circles.

Me, Myself, and I (Okie dokie. He's not wearing a tie and his tux is all sandy from the beach xD)

Gauge raised a dark eyebrow underneath his mark, laughing quietly at the face of the girl who seemed to be surprised into silence. The pond was beautiful, the lights gleaming in an unearthly sort of way that seemed to float around the water. "It looks a little bit like a Christmas tree exploded here." His lips curved into a smile and he pushed off the tree, his eyes falling to the water. His reflection started back at him, tattoos peeking out from behind his blazing white tux.

message 10: by rachel (new)

rachel ((Lol, K.))

Evelyn watched him for a moment, her lips parting into a glimmering smile. She turned her gaze to the pond before responding humorously, "Yeah, it does." Her face glowed softly due to the lights and her brown hair falling over her shoulders. She leaned forward to gaze into her distorted image on the rippling surface of the water.

Me, Myself, and I Gauge grinned back at her, reaching up to settle his mask down more firmly over his eyes. "If you don't mind me asking, why aren't you at the boardwalk?" His voice was quiet in the silence, the light breeze carrying it through the bushes. He leaned back against the tree again, shadows falling over his blinding white tux. The action nearly made him blend into the night, with his black hair, dark eyes, and jet mask. The moonlight danced across the pond's surface, adding to the lights' gleam.

rachel Evelyn shrugged and smiled mischievously, "Why aren't you are the Ball?" She responded lightly, straightening herself up to prevent herself from falling into the pond, "I mean, you are all dressed up..." She turned, seeing his missing tie and sand covered pants against the thick darkness against the trees. "Well, sorta." She added with a small smile.

message 13: by Me, Myself, and I (last edited Jul 13, 2012 07:53PM) (new)

Me, Myself, and I Gauge raised a dark eyebrow again, lips still turned upward. "This relationship isn't going to work out if you won't open up." He laughed, leaning his head back against the tree's bark. Moonlight slowly stretched across his face, illuminating the tattoo on his neck. And, of course, the lip rings piercing his lip. "My tie's probably somewhere in the sand." He suddenly realized how that probably sounded, but it wasn't like he could take it back now. How did one slyly say he'd been wiping up blood, not messing around with a girl? Too late.

message 14: by rachel (new)

rachel Evelyn's eyes flickered to the ground for a moment at his last sentence but she quickly dismissed it. She just met this guy, no reason to make a big deal over it. She brushed her hair from her face, lifting her head again, "Of course." She said, responding to his earlier sentence, "And I don't even know your name." She mimicked him, raising an eyebrow as she searched for his eyes under the mask.

Me, Myself, and I Gauge pushed off the tree trunk and started unbuttoning the front of his jacket. The tux was making him nervous- he'd already messed up the pants from the sand. He wasn't going to wait around until he screwed up the jacket too. Laughing, he looked up at her. "What would be the fun in that?" The words were spoken as he shrugged out of the jacket. All the tattoos covering his right arm were exposed, disappeared from under the short sleeve of his white dress shirt. The sight might scare her away, but he figured might as well get it over with. "Besides, I don't know your name either."

message 16: by rachel (new)

rachel Evelyn's blue eyes flickered to his arm from a moment. She never cared much for tattoos, but she never judged anyone by appearance. She just smiled, "Okay, if I tell you mine, you have to tell me yours." She bargained, lifting her hand in a handshake as if they were making some sort of huge deal, her other hand at her side.

Me, Myself, and I Gauge noticed her blue eyes glance over at his arm from behind her mask. Her gaze didn't last there long and she didn't seem terribly bothered by it. Not like his father had been, who had hit the roof when he'd seen it. The bruises still decorating his ribs from that little incident. He looked down at her hand and, grinning, shook it. His skin was calloused from all those days working at the construction sites. "Deal." His voice was a low rumble over the otherwise quiet air.

message 18: by rachel (new)

rachel Evelyn smiled, gripping his hand as she shook it gently, "Evelyn, my name is Evelyn." She said softly against the quiet air, her pale red lips stretching in a smile. She thought of sharing her element but she thought it would be a fun mystery to solve.

Me, Myself, and I Gauge smiled back, his lip piercings flashing as his brown eyes looked down at her. "It's nice to meet you, Evelyn." The name was pretty- it seemed to fit her face perfectly. Her ran his fingers through his gelled up hair with his free hand. "I'm Gauge." Some preferred to call him Ryker but he decided to stick with the basics. At least for right now.

message 20: by rachel (new)

rachel "Nice to meet you Gauge." Evelyn did a little curtsy, though she wore jeans and some sneakers, her blue eyes glimmering all sorts of colors against the lights lacing the shrubs around the pond, a warm, gentle breeze rustling the surrounding trees in a rhythmical song.

Me, Myself, and I (She's not wearing a mask either, right?)

Gauge laughed but otherwise played along, giving a small bow back. "Loving the attire, by the way." He flashed a grin, taking in her simple sneakers and jeans. He longed to take off his mask too, the material started to itch the skin around his eyes. Thank God the mask is so simple. Gauge could only imagine how irritating it would've been if it had been more complex. He closed his eyes for a second, inhaling as the sweet breeze drifted over him.

message 22: by rachel (new)

rachel ((Yep, no mask.))

Evelyn laughed, glancing down to her green shirt, jeans, and sneakers, "Thank you." She grinned. She noticed his discomfort under the mask and took a quick glance around the pond. No one was here but Gauge and her, "Uh... you can take your mask off if you want..." She met his eyes, "I-I won't tell anyone." She added quickly.

Me, Myself, and I (That's what I thought, but I wanted to make sure xD)

"No problem." Guage flashed a grin at her laugh. A gentle breeze tugged on his shirt, the fabric loose and, well, airy. The observation was enough to make him snort. He raised an eyebrow from under his mask. "But then my cover would be blown. You'd know who I am." Despite his words, he laughed and reached up. Pulling back the mask, he rubbed his temple with one hand while dropping the mask around his neck with the other. His face muscles instantly relaxed, feeling the cool breeze. To any observant enough, it'd be obvious what division he was in.

message 24: by rachel (new)

rachel Evelyn's blue eyes glimmered as they searched his eyes. She couldn't help but smile softly as she saw his eyes clearly. She fell silent for a moment before speaking softly, "Your an Air Elemental." An Air Elemental. Her exact opposite, yet they got along so well.

Me, Myself, and I Gauge's warm brown eyes mirrored her sparkling blue ones. He smiled and the wind kicked up a little. Even if you didn't know any better, it'd almost look like he was controlling it. Which he was. "Ding, ding, ding. We have a winner." He's smile turned a little devilish. It was an interesting look on him: normally, he stuck to sweet smiles. At the moment, he looked somewhat like a naughty kid. He had no idea where he'd gotten such the strong connect with his division- his parents didn't even use their abilities. "What about you?"

message 26: by rachel (new)

rachel Evelyn folded her arms across her chest, the wind giving her the chills, "Um..." She hesitated to tell him. He might just leave if she told him, "Earth." She responded, the sudden change on his face making her a little uncomfortable.

Me, Myself, and I "Oh." Gauge blinked and the wind instantly stopped, going back to the softest of breezes. He figured, since she was practically the opposite division, it wasn't exactly her cup of tea. His smile dimmed a little and his dark gaze fell over to the water. Back at school, he remembered constantly getting in fights with Earth Elementals. Most of the fights had been self defense, of course. Well. . . . most of them. "That's cool." He struggled to say something that didn't convey all that. "You can make flowers grow, right?" Alright, so it wasn't the smartest thing. But he was trying.

message 28: by rachel (new)

rachel "Um, Yeah." Evelyn gave an unsure smile as a small flower inched it's way from the the dirt. She knelt down when it's yellow pelts folded out into a small, beautiful yellow flower. She plucked it from the ground with her index finger and thumb before straightening up again and twirling the flower between her fingers.

Me, Myself, and I Gauge's brown eyes widened. The idea was cool in itself, but actually seeing it? His face was awestruck as he looked at the flower. "That was amazing." He laughed and stepped closer, touching the flower's yellow petals lightly. "And all I can do is speed up the wind or slow it down." And/or suffocate someone. Just a minor detail.

message 30: by rachel (new)

rachel Evelyn laughed, "Well, without air we'd all be dead." She reassured him with a grin, her teeth glimmering against the lights. She leaned toward the pond before releasing the flower from her fingers. It twisted and twirled in the light breeze before landing on the water's surface. It sent several ripples over her reflection.

Me, Myself, and I Gauge dark brown eyes sparkled, thanks to the reflection from the lights, and he grinned. "Too true." Except for that minor detail, you know, that I can essentially take away said air. His eyes followed the flower as it landed in the pond, watching the ripple effects the action caused. The wind picked up speed through the trees slightly, a small soundtrack created as it rustled through the leaves. "Best I can do." He laughed.

message 32: by rachel (new)

rachel Evelyn rolled her eyes, "Sure." She smiled, her blue eyes flickering as she looked over the pond's surface. Growing flowers was one of the least things she could do. Her eyes trailed after the flower as it rippled across the pond.

Me, Myself, and I Gauge turned, still smiling, and started walking along the pond's edge, the water lapping at his dress shoes. "Really. Your skills are far superior then mine." He hung up his tux jacket on a tree's branch before continuing around the pond. He was slowly but steadily making his way around the whole thing. "I mean, I can also heal. But that was a trick my little sister showed me." He had no idea why he'd just told her that, but it was a little late now. The colorful lights danced over his face, showing a few faint bruises decorating his skin.

message 34: by rachel (new)

rachel Evelyn glanced at him, "I don't think I can heal. That's pretty neat." She replied lamely, her blue eyes following him around the pond, "Did your sister come up with it?" She instantly cursed herself for being so nosy. For all he knew, she could be trying to gather information, which she was definitely not doing.

Me, Myself, and I (xD)

Gauge slowly traveled around the pond, his shoulder brushing against the bushes as he moved. "Thanks. It's come in handy more times then I can count." The words slipped out of his lips without his consent. Damn. "She was the first in my family to do it. But it's probably been done before." He still remembered the first time she'd done it: His father had punched him, splitting the skin over his cheekbone. She'd been joking around with him afterwards, saying how his face couldn't handle any more damage then it's natural hideous-ness, even though Gauge could see the tears glistering in her eyes. And next thing he knew, the scar was gone.

message 36: by rachel (new)

rachel ((Hmm... something should happen, this is getting a little boring. xD))

Evelyn remained in her spot, her blue eyes following his dim figure as he moved around the pond. Her hands were clasped behind her back as she spoke, "Probably." Her eyes trailed back down to the pond, shuffling her feet as she fell silent.

Me, Myself, and I (;o Lols, I guess Gauge is a boring person xD What'd you want to happen ?)

Gauge slowly made his way back to where she was standing, dark brown eyes glancing down to smile slightly at her. He tugged down the edge of his white tuxedo's vest. "Because she's not that original." His smile brightened into a grin, running a hand through his gelled up hair.

message 38: by rachel (new)

rachel ((xD I don't even know... *thinks*))

Evelyn glanced up at him, laughing softly as she brushed her brown hair from her face, her blue eyes smiling brightly. Her skin glowed slightly against the bright, colorful lights.

((Sorry for shortness, can't think of anything to put...))

Me, Myself, and I (Lols if I still had Seraphine, I could have made her try to see the place on fire or something equally as dramatic xD But I got rid of that charrie. What should I do? ;o)

message 40: by rachel (new)

rachel ((Well I have a Fire Elemental... he could be mad for some reason and set the place on fire... :o))

Me, Myself, and I (Go for it ;o)

ℋɑƞƞɑℎ Diandra walked silently through the garden, absentmindedly playing with the butterfly necklace. She looked down at the ground, watching her feet as she walked. She bit her lip, she wished that her dress was longer. The midnight blue dress was hardly to her knees, but she couldn't afford anything longer and she didn't want to spend another year as a...she shivered at the thought. Her walk was fluid, but swift, a lot like a rushing river. She didn't know where she was going, but it seemed like no one was really in the garden so she liked it here. She smiled softly as a butterfly flew up and by her cheek, as if caressing it. She stuck out her finger and it perched there, almost as if it was looking at her.

Luna ❤Thing 5❤ (moonflower3) Eric was in a state of annoyance. He felt his body heat rise to the challenge of his anger but he stamped it back down. His sister had disappeared again, having tricked him yet again. So as he looked one way, she rushed off the other way. His father was on his back about keeping Faith in line and the last thing he saw was a flash of his sisters dress coming this way, so he followed, however he could never be sure. She was good at making decoys of herself. He stuffed his hands into his pockets and concentrated on finding her determined to drag her back home.

message 44: by ℋɑƞƞɑℎ (new)

ℋɑƞƞɑℎ Diandra stopped and stood there, smiling at the butterfly. She had lost herself slightly with the butterfly, almost zoning out. She was currently in the shadows of the trees, so it was hard to see her with her dark hair and dark dress. She swore she heard someone coming so she spun around and peered at the person curiously. In the process, losing the butterfly she had on her finger.

Luna ❤Thing 5❤ (moonflower3) Eric clicked his fingers a small flame appearing on his index finger as he pulled out a cigarette. He needed something to calm him and a smoke seemed to do it. Yes it was bad for you but with Fire elementals it was just absorbed, considering you breath in smoke and heat and fire. The nicotine just calmed his frazzled brain. He let out puffs of smoke rings. He knew his sister wasn't in the garden after further search but he needed a little time to himself as well, he wasn't going to be her personally body guard, she definitely knew how to protect herself.

message 46: by ℋɑƞƞɑℎ (new)

ℋɑƞƞɑℎ Diandra's eyes grew wide when he snapped his fingers and a flame appeared. She leaned against a branch, fascinated. She hadn't ever seen a fire elemental before, everyone told her they were bad even mean sometimes. She also kind of knew water and fire didn't exactly mix. Another butterfly came up to her and flew around. She looked back at the boy before she stepped out of the shadow, but it didn't look like she had been watching the boy.

Luna ❤Thing 5❤ (moonflower3) Eric blew out more rings of smoke as he heard rustling nearby. He held his cigarette between his index and middle finger as he turned and looked at the bushes. "Faith?" He called, wondering if it was his sister, but instead saw a lovely, beautiful surprise instead. He smirked. "Good evening madam." He said, crossing his arms.

message 48: by ℋɑƞƞɑℎ (new)

ℋɑƞƞɑℎ Diandra watched the rings of smoke float up to the sky. Her eyes grew wide when he called out Faith. "Sorry," she breathed, shaking her head. She walked over to him, still peering curiously at him. From what she could see, he was handsome, but she knew better than that. She tucked some hair behind her war. "Good evening, sir," she said softly with a small curtsy. She was pretty sure that was appropriate. She bit her lip, she hoped that was the right thing to do.

Luna ❤Thing 5❤ (moonflower3) Eric finished his cigarette as he watched her, blowing out the last puffs of smoke rings. He held the bud of the cigarette and it ignited before turning to ash and blowing away. He gave a bow to her curious to her nature. He gave a charming smile to the girl. "Are you trying to avoid the ball?" He asked curiously as he looked her over, coming to the conclusion, that yes she was magnificent looking, but knew he couldn't get distracted so much if he was to find his sister.

message 50: by ℋɑƞƞɑℎ (new)

ℋɑƞƞɑℎ Diandra watched him turn the butt to ash. She couldn't help but give one of her very rare, shy smiles to the boy. She nodded, "sort of, yes, Are you?" she asked, head cocked in her quite, soft spoken way. Her voice was low and almost husky, like a waterfall. She didn't really like the idea of dancing especially since she didn't know how and she didn't like the idea talking to others. You could tell just by the way she held herself that she was very shy.
