Oh, heavens yes - sign me up. I am so very far behind.Edit to add, so I can pretend I have a plan: ;)
I'm just a dozen or so pages into The Etched City, so I will start with that. Then it's on to Moon Tiger and Childhood's End and maybe either The Invention of Morel and Other Stories, from La Trama Celeste, A Cat, a Man, and Two Women, or Gourmet Rhapsody.
I am in... will see how much I can do as I will be doing lots of 12 hour shifts.ETA: Wait a minute this is the week after all my 12 hours! Yes! I will definitely catch up!
I might be a little pre-occupied with my brand new nephew (!!!) whose coming to visit at the beginning of the readathon, but other than that I'm in! I desperately need this, I haven't read too much for the June/July challenge. :(

I'm totally in!
Thanks Tracy! I actually have another nephew and neice, but this little guy is the first from this sister. :) I've only seen him twice before, so naturally my reading might get a little behind. ;)
YES, sign me up, but can someone please explain it to me because I am not sure I understand what to do other than read lots.
I am SO in! Need to catch up on my reading as the June was very slow (too busy otherwise). So I am really looking forward to the July Radathon :-).
Katie, reading a lot is basically what it is. So you are on the right track. We usually post our progress once a day and talk a bit about what we read, how we like it, how the reading is going (or what keeps us from it). The way we list our results is pretty much up to oneself, you can look up in older Readathon reports how we did it, and see if there is a way that suits you best. I am still struggling to find the ideal way for myself.
I usually try to work on my to-read pile during the readathon, and it would work out nicely, but I ALWAYS stumble over books here, that others are reading and raving about that I need to read as well, so in the end my to-read pile is sometimes larger than before ;-).

During the RATs I really try to stay on track and not read anything that isn't already on my shelf but then again these groups are always going on about fabulous books. Haha! I think this time I am going to try and knock out some of these freebies before my kindle overfloweth.
I'm in, I found this group right when the last read-a-thon ended, so been looking forward to this. Not sure what my goal is, I guess to just set a base for future RAT's :)
You'll love the RAT's, Heather and Katie! Personally, I don't make any new goals for myself, I just try to finish what I'm already reading, rather than my TBR pile. I don't read too fast, so that's what works for me!
I am collecting my books! I am hoping to catch up this readathon or get as close as I can! I think I'm about 38 books behind. Good luck everyone!

I was looking forward to the summer readathons as I love reading in the garden, but the weather here in Germany is not looking promising, no outside reading weather, rainy and around 16 °C...I would like to read around 1.500 pages or so, but mainly I want to spend some quality time with good books.
I m so ready for this Dee. I have my books all lined up. Going to clear off that TBR shelf if it kills me. Well maybe not if it kills me but I'm going to be doing some serious reading.
Count me in. This sounds like a great way forme to end my summer vacation before heading back to school wheni wont have time to read anothing but my math manual.
Here are my plans for this readathon: (As usual it MAAAY change during the week and I end up with completely different books.)Probably not finished by the time the readathon starts:
First Grave on the Right
Rock Me
My readathon books:
The Art of Fielding
Die Therapie
The Future of Us
Will Grayson, Will Grayson
Memoirs of a Teenage Amnesiac
Darn - I can't join in this time as I have visitors arriving next week. Good luck to you all - hope you get through lots of TBR's!BTW, I also liked The Art of Fielding.
I must really be saving up my energy for this RAT because I haven't read at all today. Normally I read for an hour before I get ready for work but I couldn't this morning because I woke up late and in the evenings I read fir a few hours before I go to bed but I can't seem to get off GR.
Dee wrote: "are you guys ready? We have approximately 36 hours to go"oh i'm ready!!!!! I've been reading so much this week, I wish it had been the readathon this week! But hopefully my reading high will continue.
I hope to finish Breaking Dawn, get another chunk out of Best Friends: A Novel, finish Sandcastles of Love, and re-start Water for Elephants. whew!!!!!
T-4 hours to go ;) I won't be here for the official start since I am going to see Batman, so i'll be posting the thread a little bit early...but have fun!!
I was at work today when it started, and I happened to look at the clock right at 10 am!!! I thought of you all being busy reading! lol Finally I can read now too! :)
the progress and reporting thread is up, sorry for the delay - I wanted to get it up before I left for the money but got busy with other stuff...on the bright side, the new Batman is awesome!!
all i can say is dayum, joseph gordon levitt is all grown up - and I no longer feel dirty for oggling him ;)
