"that was an extremely arrogant remark, and you might not be a boy, but you certainly act like it." she snapped
"why thank you." she said, and bowed. she turned away, saying, "cheatering isnt a word." and walked away.
"Maybe not here," Tryon said, following her. "But where I come from, we have lots of words that you mountain people don't know."
"technically, cheatering is grammatically incorrect. the correct word would be cheating." she snapped.
"No. Cheatering is different. Definition, the act of being a cheater. Cheating, the process a cheater goes through."
Lily shut the door to her house and went down the steps. She swung her basket as she walked through the village. "Hullo, Sam!" Lily called to her father's good friend. Sam looked up and smiled at her.
Lily was really sweet and had great faith. Almost every grown up adored her.
"Lillian!" He said, grinning. He walked over. "Hullo," Lily said with a shy smile. "How's your father doing?" He asked. Lily bit her bottom lip. "H-He's alright. I mean... he still can't talk or stand... or sit up... but, he's fine. He's getting alittle better with the medicene that the doctor gave him... but we'll need professinal care." Lily said. Sam nodded. "Ahh..." He said. "Umm... I should get going. I need to work." Lily said. Sam nodded. "Alright. Good bye, Lillian! Be safe!" Sam called. "Good bye, Sam!" Lily said, waving.

Laurel walked along the paths, done feeding her goats, and spotted Lily. She smiled and walked over to her. "H-hello," she said quietly.
Lily looked at Laurel and smiled. She looks about the same age that I am. Mabey... should I have her be my friend? I don't have any so it... it should be a thought, I guess. Lily decided in her head easly. "Hullo." She said with glittering eyes of happyness. "Erm... I'm Lillian." Lily said, holding out her free hand from the other with a basket in hand. "You can call me Lily if you'd like." Lily added.
Laurel smiled and shook her hand. "I'm Laurel."
Lily smiled brighter. "Nice to meet you, Laurel. If you don't mind me asking at all, how old are you?" Lily asked.
"I'm fourteen," Laurel replied, tilting her head. "You?"
"I'm fourteen also!" Lily said happily. Then she glanced at her basket full of foods she should be feeding the horses. "I'm sorry, but I really must be going. I have many chores to do." Lily apologized.
Laurel smiled and nodded. "Ah, of course. Good bye!"
Raychel walked along the path to her house, humming a tune.
"Good bye, Laurel!" Lily called and continued walking.
Aros ran up to Raychel. "Hey, Raych." he said, grinning.
Lily saw Kirsten walking silently. She desided to say a quick hello. "Hullo!" Lily said, waving.
Raychel grinned. "Hey Aros, what are you doing?"
"Lookin' for my favourite girl." Aros said, putting his arms around Raychel.
Lily smiled back and continued walking.
Lauren glanced over at Caelan with a small smile on her face.
((Whoops, Laurel, not Lauren. :) ))
Laurel nodded, acknowledging him, and walked slowly on the path.
Laurel nodded, acknowledging him, and walked slowly on the path.
Laurel coincidentally walked right behind him. "Oh, excuse me," she said quietly, stepping around him to the main path.
"I've got to go, Aros. I have things to do, unlike you, apparently." Raychel said, smiling. Aros pouted, and she patted his shoulder affectionately before walking away.
Laurel flashed him a small smile. "No, you're fine." She dipped her head in a small nod and continued on the path.
Laurel turned her head, smiled again, and nodded. "You, as well!" she called over her shoulder.
