Eris walked in. she saw her mother lying on her bed, as usual. she rolled her eyes. she put her hair up, and went to make some bread.
she sighed. she went to open the door. she rolled her eyes and leaned against the door. "what do you want now?" she asked annoyed.
"your sorry that i don't like your vocabulary? thats the lames apology I've ever heard, and I've heard quite a few." she sighed.
"I'm sorry that you can't handle the fact that I'm a Lowlander...We're raised differently here than you are here, so if I come across as a total idiot, blame the lowlands."
She laughed. "i guess i accept your apology. i guess I'm kinda jealous of you." she said, blushing a little.
"you have gotten to see the world! you've been somewhere else besides this mountain! all I've seen is this mountain." she said the last part bitterly.
"oh, I've been butted plenty of times." she said, laughing. she realized they were still standing outside. "would you like to come in? i just made some bread..." she asked courteously.
she opened the door for him. "oh don't mind my mother, she's always doing that." she said, glaring at the shape on the bed. she led him into the kitchen, and got some goat cheese from the cupboard. she spread some on the bread and handed it to him.
"my dad died when i was ten... ever since then she's been like a robot. i don't know why she's not gotten even a little bit better, I've tried herbs and roots and everything i can think of." she said sadly.
Tryon looked up, then walked in a circle around her. "That's odd...You don't look like an egg, or a turtle."
She laughed and blushed a little. "since never. I was teasing you, if that wasn't obvious enough." she said
she smiled and looked at her hands. "ill be back in a second." she said to him, then went into the other room. she washed off her face and hands, that had gotten flour all over them. she changed into a different dress. and walked back into the room he was in.
"Aww, you didn't have to change for me," Tryon smiled as he looked up. "You looked fine already. The flour was a good look for you."
she rolled her eyes. "i don't like having flour all over my clothes. it makes me feel dirty." she said.
Tryon nodded slightly, keeping his thoughts to himself. "So, besides hating on Lowlanders, what do you do in your free time?"
"um, well. i like to draw pictures in the dirt." she said, thinking about one she had drawn the other day of a falcon in flight. "i don't have a lot of free time though, my mother does quarry work sometimes but its mostly me. and i have to take care of the goats. sometimes the younger children take care of them for me." she said.
Tryon grinned, noting her blush. "Well, if Ai could draw anything that didn't look like a stick with a head, I would draw you."
