*The ranks are:
probatio, legionnaire, standard bearer for the cohort, standard bearer for the legion, centurion, augur, praetor

A probatio is a member of the legion who hasn't proven his bravery, worth, etc. yet. Once a probatio performs an 'act of valor' and proves him/herself, they are given a tattoo on their arm, which is the letters SPQR over as many stripes as years that person has been a full member of the legion, a legionnaire. Next to the letters SPQR is the symbol of your godly parent or ancestor. A legionnaire has higher rank and status than a probatio.
There are five cohorts, the first being considered the best and the fifth considered the worst. Each cohort has two centurions. A centurion is basically co-leader of a cohort, and the centurions for each cohort stand for that cohort and are responsible for the members of that cohort.
There is one standard bearer for every cohort. Basically, they carry the standard. The Romans are all about the drama.
There is one standard bearer for the whole Twelfth Legion, which is basically all of Camp Jupiter. Their standard is the eagle. This is a very honored position-unless they've lost the eagle to their enemies. Then they hold the empty golden pole.
There is only one augur. The augur does the job of an Oracle, since the Romans do not have an Oracle. The Romans' book of prophecies, the Sybilline books, which outlined the entire destiny of the Romans, was lost a long time ago. The augur slaughters stuffed animals and uses their stuffing to sacrifice and study the future, and receive prophecies and such. Their approval is important on many things and they have a great influence on the camp.
The praetor has the highest and most powerful role in the camp. There are two praetors, and they work together. They are basically the leaders of Camp Jupiter. They are treated with most respect, and their word is the final ruling.

When making your character, you can decide whether he or she will be a probatio or a legionnaire. If you want your character to be one of the two centurions for his or her cohort, ask. If you want your character to be one of the standard bearers, ask. If you want your character to be augur, ask. I haven't decided yet on the praetor, and there's no harm in asking for your character to be praetor, but don't be disappointed if I say no. Same with the augur. There are only three spots open for praetor and augur anyway.
Please do not put all your characters in the Fifth Cohort. Keep in mind that the Fifth Cohort is the weakest, even though we can make it stronger. Also, if we get too many in one cohort, I'll have to put a limit as to how many characters there are per cohort.

Atalanta has long dark hair, sharp, unreadable dark eyes, and is tall and slender. She stands about 5 feet and 7 inches. On her arm she has the SPQR, with two lines indicating two years of service, and the symbol of Poseidon, the trident.

Age: 15

Personality: She's fierce and proud, independent, strong-willed, and smart. She has a sense of humor. She's cocky and clever, self-confident, snarky, and sarcastic, with a sharp tongue. Atalanta is a brave and loyal friend. She cares for Camp Jupiter.

Godly Parent/Ancestor: daughter of Neptune, descendant of Trivia

Other family: Her twin, Theseus Winter, her father, Gage Winter, who is a son of Trivia

Cohort: Fifth Cohort 

Rank: praetor

History: It's a secret. She came to camp three years ago, and became a full member of the legion about a year afterward. She was put in the Fifth Cohort, and she's helped change their reputation, especially when she became praetor. Nobody knows anything about her life before Camp Jupiter.

Weapon/Powers/Skills: You do NOT want her mad at you. She has killer powers. Literally. And she's an amazing fighter. She has the full set of weapons that every Roman has, of course, and she also has a gold bracelet that she always wears. When she taps the charm on it, it changes into an imperial gold dagger. The charm on her bracelet is a small gold disk that has her initials engraved in it.

Other: She has a pair of wolves: Pullus and Niveus. 'Pullus' means 'raven black' in Latin. 'Niveus' means 'snowy white.' Yet Atalanta named the raven black wolf Niveus and the snowy white one Pullus. She has a pegasus named Ryder.

Everything else is TBRP'ed.

Name: Joan Stamp (Pronounced like Jone)
Gender: Female

Personality: Joan is very kind and loves to hang with her friends. Otherwise she is very serious. She doesn't quite understand the concept of jokes, and if someone makes a joke, she'll take it seriously. She also thinks everything through.
Godly Parent/Ancestor: Daughter of Minerva, descendant of Apollo.
Other Family: Unknown, she grew up at CJ.
Cohort: 3rd cohort
Rank: Centurion
History: For as long as Joan can remember, she's been living at CJ. She has no idea who her father was and when she was taken to camp. She hopes to maybe find out someday.
Weapon/Powers/Skills: Joan uses a celestial bronze sword that when not in use, turns into a bronze bracelet. When fighting, Joan thinks everything through and makes her decisions. She lives by "Think before you act." This makes her a deadly fighter.
Other: Joan's fatal flaw would be thinking too much. She thinks about everything. Not only is this time consuming, but it stops her from sleeping, eating, and being herself.

Personality: Subdued, quiet, reserved. Speaks in soft, hushed tones. She's gentle and fragile sounding, until you hear her sing. Her voice is rich and resounding and gorgeous, with a wide tonal range.
Very hard to gain her trust. Despite her beauty, she is very self conscious and self-deprecating.
Though she is shy and invisible in conversation (unless she is talking to someone she truly knows/loves) she is a ruthless, cold killer.

Godly Parent/Ancestor: Venus

Other family: Twila grew up in an orphanage in China, alone and friendless for her introversion and for the strange occurrences that always seemed to follow her (monster attacks, etc.)

History: Twila never knew her parents, and as aforementioned grew up in the orphanage.
Weapon/Powers/Skills: Twila specializes in hand to hand combat and Dim-Mak, which she learned in China before running away and moving to America with the money she earned by selling paper cranes and other origami.

History: When Angel was young, she learned how karate and how to use swords. Her mother was very protective of her, and wanted her daughter to grow up strong and basically alive. There was a devastating storm, and her mother died from a lightning bolt. Angel set off from home and found Camp Jupiter.
Weapon/Powers/Skills: Blinding people. :P Great with medicine. She is best with the swords and is also good with the bow.

Like Octavian is a descendant of Apollo, not a son. So he would be a "legacy" not a demigod. In Camp Jupiter, they have all people wih any godly blood. They don't have to be demigods.

Weapon/Powers/Skills: A thick gold sword. He can use his ability to fight from father and his ability to never get burnt by his grandfather.

Weapons/Powers/Skills: Chance uses an imperial gold sword. He has the power over fire since he is a descendant of Vesta. He is also a deadly fighter. Since his dad is Mars, he naturally knows battle strategies and how to fight well.
Other: Chance has a pegasus named Audaculus meaning bold and courageous. Chance calls her Auda for short. He had to become fairly fluent in Latin so he could command Auda, who only understands Latin and only takes orders from him. Auda loves to fly!
