Movie wasawesome. I'm not really a fan of Michael Morpurgo's books. They always seemed too child-like but trying to be grown-up. I don't know how else to describe it.

I agree, there's only was of his books I like, it's a bout a dog. It's a really fast dog that gets taken from it's owner and it gets treated really cruely. I think it gets involved with dog fighting, or that might be another story I'm thinking of.

I agree Jess, and also with Hannah, but it is quite a good book and Michael Morpurgo's books are ok when you're younger

t's set in wartime Germany, or maybe it was Poland, and this family ends up taking care of an elephant while they flee the war.

Hmmm, strange family. Did they get caught? I mean.... it was an elephant.

The zoo actually begged them to take it because it had a higher chance of surviving with them than in the city.

And they weren't Jews so they weren't hiding or anything

As safe as you can be with bombs whistling down every night and no house to live in.

Well, I kind of meant safe as in, not locked up in a concentration camp. Where did they live then? On the street or did somebody hide them?

I know what you meant Jess, I was being sarcastic. They were refugees so they lived on the road until they reached the red cross camp.
