Who else didn't like the way James thought of other instruments?

In kind of a disparaging way? I read the book a while ago so I don't really remember. But I did dislike the way he was made out to be such a stellar player that he couldn't get any better. I think there's always something to improve upon as a musician. It makes for a more relatable character when they have to work at things, not just be perfect already.
James was just so full of himself ..he was beyond repair in a way he was over did like jace in the immortal instruments too good to be true .
Yeah. ( I love Jace)Here's what made me very very mad "she played the trumpet I tried not to hold it against her " GRRRRRRR. DON'T. judge people based on their instrument. DON'T judge the instrument based on the person.
JUST TO BE CLEAR: I AM NOT IN ANY WAY CRITISIZING ANYONE'S OPINION HERE. I didn't mind this way of thinking James has. Everybody has unfair or unkind stereotypes - some people think all blonds are dumb (not universally true), some people think all clever people are boring (again, not always true).
And some people just dislike the sound of a certain kind of instrument and so will not feel all warm and cuddly about someone if all they know about the is the instrument they play.
It's like someone might see a blonde person and think, they must be dumb. Or someone will see a clever person and just assume that they're boring.
It's just the way some people's heads work (but maybe more with arrogant people than humble people?) and I think it makes James more realistic, showing that he has these flaws.
