Candace Taylor I'm not done with the book yet but I just have to make this observation. Everytime Russell speaks in the book his accent comes off to me as an Irish Pirate. GRRRRR!!! It's annoying. The end.

Caroline McMaster OH MY GOSH. i thought the same thing.

Candace Taylor To the writer: Let them talk normal, tell us know where they're from, describe they have a southern accent, and let us make up our own voice. I'm from Georgia, I know all about southern accents - this is humiliating!!

Caroline McMaster I agree. Well you're in for a problem in the second and third book- A lot of them are both told in Russell's POV and the whole time we get to read what he's saying with his accent. There are also new main characters with Irish-like accents- its not as difficult as Russell's though.

Mollie For some reason, I always read for Russell faster than the other characters and I thought it fit. I guess when I assumed he spoke a little bit faster then his accent was easier to accept. I'm from Texas and I get the "ya" he'd always say. I'd say it like "yuh" but reading it was different from just saying it so it threw me off a bit at first. Great, now I'm confusing myself.

I don't care! Russell Marx is MY soul mate!
