Just thought I'd mention that Again the Magic, Someone to Watch over Me and Where Dreams Begin are all Victorian (or maybe Regency) rather than Georgian in case that's important.

Thanks, Julie. Did some research and the Georgian period actually ends 1830 or 1837. The Regency is only like 10 years from 1810 to 1820. So if the date was after 1820 but before 1837 I stuck it in Georgian. Some didn't have dates and I just guessed.

I've read that the Regency sometimes refers to the extended period after 1820 until Queen Victoria took the throne because of the distinctive changes in fashion, architecture, art, etc., but technically you're correct as well. There's definitely some gray area there.

I would argue though that Again the Magic is Victorian because I believe the bulk of the story takes place in the 1840's right before the Wallflower series which is definitely Victorian.

You are right, Julie. I looked at it and I must have hooked onto the top date instead of the 2nd in the settings. Thanks

Sorry to respond to you so late, Faithmarie. (Beyond late.) Those type of romances would fall under "american-frontier-american-historic" or "american-western-romance" for our 'tagging' purposes.

Can anyone suggest a good ancient romance? I have a soft spot for ancient civilizations, like Egypt or Babylon.

Bonnie Vanek has an Egyptian romance series. Haven't read it but it looks decent.

I can only think of one that I've read, and it was ages ago, so I don't remember anything whatsoever about it... . Ancient Greece.

If I may suggest something, Tessa Dare's Spindle Cove series really is a must read Regency.
