Rick sat alone in his family's mansion.

Sam wandered the streets.

Rick sat on the balcony on the 3rd floor and looked around.

Sam was humming loudly, cheerfully to herself, her knives swinging by her side.

Rick spotted a zombie, he picked up his sniper and aimed. He shot the zombie.

Sam heard the shots and got in stance, looking around. "If they were smart, they'd use a silencer," she mumbled, starting to walk.

Rick saw a girl walking around.

Sam started to twirl her knives in her hands, starting to hum again. "Wish I had some Chinese food," she mumbled.

He ran downstairs and opened his door. "Hey there."

"Oh, uh, hi," Sam said slowly, stopping and turning to face the boy by the mansion.

"Im Rick. Rick Orielly. What's your name?"

"I'm Samantha. Samantha Warren. But I go by Sam."

"Ok Sam. You need a place to stay?"

Sam rolled her eyes. "I always need a place to stay. And yes, I do."

"Ok well Im all alone in this mansion."

((night))

((Night))

"Are you offering me a place to stay, or taunting me?" Sam asked, raising an eyebrow and crossing her arms.

((Im back))

"Offering a place to stay."

"Okay," she finally said after a moment of thought. Sam didn't trust others easily.

"Great." Rick smiled.

"Yeah, don't get your hopes up," Sam said, keeping her face stony. "I may not stay long."

"Ok."

"Good, we're on the same page," Sam said, grinning.

"Well Im going up to my balcony." He said as he went up to the balcony that he had been sitting at.

"Uh-oh. Balcony's are never good," Sam said, making a tsking sound as she walked up to the mansion.

"It's on the third floor, plus I have a sniper."

"A sniper wouldn't come in handy if someone came up behind you and threw you off."

"That is why I have a mounted gun aimed at the door and a mirror right here. All I would need to do is press this button and they would be dead."

"That would suck for someone," Sam said, chuckling a little. She always had a dark sense of humor.

A little boy walked over and knocked on the front door. He looked really dirty, and really tired.
