Hi Patricia, I'd say "welcome back" but I don't recall seeing you here before. I was kind of active last year when I joined, then in the winter, got crazy-busy with my second pen name launching a book in April and have barely been back on Creative Reviews at all :-(I suspect from your religious closing here and the religious language of your blog post that you probably are into religious/spiritual/inspirational books? It just so happens I wrote one :)
I'm Jewish so it will NOT be a Christian story. If that doesn't turn you off (some people are biased that way) then I can tell you Coming Home (Dicky's Story) is a very inspirational book. The main plot is a faith walk (secular man "finds G*d") and it's wrapped around a hilarious and sweet Romance of opposites attract. OR you could say, it's a fun little RomCom with a Jewish inspirational as its plot :) Whichever genre's emphasis you prefer. It is definitely both.
It is not a mystery. The guy definitely "finds G*d" in The End. And he does "get the girl" (and she gets him too but they don't start begetting until The End! haha) There is a lot (LOT) of authentic Jewish reference here from Scriptual citations to recitals of activities in traditional Jewish life. Some people have found those parts boring, others fascinated by it. These are the moments that fill a religious Jew's days. All day. Every day. I am not a religious Jew. I am a very spiritual woman and was raised with a seriously right-wing education but I chose to live in the Christian USA instead of living a Jewish life. I still love my G*d and my Jewishness and all of that love comes through in this story.
There's also a bit of prejudice and some injustices against women but are those two areas of sad truth a part of reality? The best part of the book right now is it's FREE at Smashwords for the annual Summer/Winter Sale--that is, the entire month of July, 2012. Go to:
http://bit.ly/DickyStory
and click to "buy" then use coupon code SSWIN at checkout to change the price from the regular $5.99 to a big fat zero ($0.00) Be sure to share the news of this Inspirational RomCom with everyone at your church this weekend. Strong Christians seem to really enjoy Dicky's faith walk story more than anyone else here in the States (overseas, there's a bit more interest in the RomCom *haha*)
Shabbat Shalom :)

p.s. Be sure to "like" the Webbiegrrl Writer Facebook Page - there's a cartoon-in-progress posted there which will become the new cover art "real soon now!" (I pray!) and Dicky's likeness is turning out super sexy *yum*
