Adyant (adyantb) Doesn't this make history much less awful? What do you think?

message 2: by Pari {Ridhee} (new)

Pari {Ridhee} (ridhee) | 89 comments I havent read the book, but from the history we study at school, history is not at all horrible. Infact, we come to know what is going wrong in the present if we read history, provided we understand it.

Laura Walz (lauraspellbinder) | 10 comments History is vital to understanding society and where we come from. As a civilization, we seem to repeat our mistakes, but understanding and knowing our history can help us to prevent future blunders. I hated history in high school, but now that I am older, I realize that I have a passion for it. I'm even studying to be an archaeologist, and I have learned so much about today's society and about politics from studying ancient Greece. We would be lost if we did not study history.

Maybe, but don't you think memorising history for exams is irritating? This book made history really fun.....

Not in our school..... In our school, if we write 'Jaipal burnt himself' instead of 'Jaipal set fire to himself', we lose half mark.

Pari {Ridhee} (ridhee) | 89 comments Thank God I didnt join Bishop Cottons (no offence...) cuz, I write all my ans on my own. I dont touch the notes. If I write The British had caged the golden sparrow instead of The British were treating Indians very badly, I will get full marks.

Your talking of different interpretation....... I was talking about different wording.....(If I ever wrote different interpretations, I would get an ostrich egg...) Even I think Bishop cottons is bad...... Baldwinians(people who win when they're bald) are using smart boards while were stuck with broken blackboards...
