What did you think of it?

Chelsea (theycallmebookworm) I though Fever was awesome but probally not as good as Wither -killer cliffhanger though. :)
I loved all the new characters introduced and how Lauren DeStefano explained and explored the world outside Linden's/Vaughns mansion. The new sense of mystery was great and finally a little explaination about her brother...

I agree, it wasn't as good as Wither. I felt like the plot started to drag too towards the end. But it was still really good! One of the things I like about these books is that its describing a dystopian world but it really makes you think and compare it to our world because some of the aspects mirror real life. Like how girls are forced into prostitution (like with the circus girls in the red light district), and how girls are kidnapped and sold into prostitution (or like in the books, sold to be wives). I think this is what makes these books so chilling for me.

Chelsea (theycallmebookworm) The scary thing about dystopia is that anything you read about could happen in possible future.

Valerie Paul | 3 comments I agree that it wasn't as good as Wither. For some reason, Rhine is really starting to get on my nerves. I do like the setting, though, especially compared to Wither, where you see more of the world and you start to get a feel for what happened in their society and how much more is broken than what we originally saw.

Maggie the Muskoka Library Mouse (mcurry1990) I read this book last year, and thought it pretty well done. I think I preferred "Wither" though, as it seemed to have more contrast and action than "Fever." I hope to read "Sever" this fall.
