Hi i am kaylee! I love twilight!
I really have wanted to write but i dont know how or where to get started. I really want to read some more books like twilight but i just dont know what there is to read, if you know any book i would love to read them!
hey guys I just wanted your opinion I am writing a book for the frost time ever! but I was wondering what the main character's name should be? I want it to be a cute girls name
Hey everybody my name is Eva I am a twimom and I am also writng my first novel, whch I've been inspired by Stephenie meyer.Team Alice
Oh man! Don't tell me I'm the only twimom! Well my first novel is a chicklit. I tried writing paranormal (mostly greek mythology) but eneded up in the backburner becuase it sounded ridicolous. So this year I'm joining the nanowrimo and write chick-lit, can't write a summary because I dont know myself what's going to happen.
I'm a mom as well. I have a 9 month old son and am writing my third novel. My first novel has been signed and is being published in February. The current novel I'm working on is a contemporary Western Romance but it'll go on hold in November for NaNoWriMo.

I've seen on your blog you hired an editor, is it worth it/ Did you have to remotgage the house to pay for it?
My Editor is fantastic and was worth every penny. She is very affordable and even helped me write up my Query letter and get me my publisher. Technically she's a proofreader but for the price and having the second set of eyes look at the manuscript it is completely worth it. http://manuscriptproofing.com/
Off and on it took me about three years to write the first draft and then a few months for each subsequent draft. But my second novel I finished the first draft in just under a month for NaNoWriMo and I hope to finish my third in about three months.
Three years?! And you didn't give up? I started writting my first novel last year on and off, but when I started looking at the begginning I had so much to change that it would've been easier to start all over again. I sounded ridiculous and i didn't think anyone would want to read it. So now I have another story in my head and going to try it in november for nanowrimo. How did you find that publishing house? I love hearing about people experiences!
My Editor works with them and she thought my book was a good fit for them so she referred me. Yes, three years. And the first draft was truly horrible. First drafts are allowed to suck, big time. Have you done NaNo before? Chris Baty put out a book on writing for NaNo and about allowing yourself to suck and it's a really fast, good read. Rule #1... don't workshop your writing and don't re-read it until the first draft is done. It'll just discourage you and grind everything down to a halt. Good luck with NaNo this year :) my username is chrissyln13... you should add me as a friend :)
I will do. That's really lucky your editor referred you! I can't believe the not reading it until it's done. I'll have a look at that book though, seems like a good read. ps thanks for adding me.Last question, what inspired you to write a historical romance?

I'm currently getting lost again in the world of Bella. On Twilight, reading ever so slowly to enjoy every moment. Definitely an inspiration.
I've written many short stories and even a couple(unfinished) novellas.
In the breakdown of '05 I completely deleted and threw out all written works. I don't believe in looking backward(thank gawd or I'd be a wreck!)
So now this novel I may actually finish and would be my first also.
I have a slight problem with reading but it's better than a real addiction.
~peace (:
