Did something you read striked you? and Why?

In this space we can talk about the books, the stories and the caratcher we love.

For example, i was near to cry when i read The Death in Venice by Thomas Mann, for the beauty and the power of his writing, or when i read "Comme un romance" ( Like a romance) by Daniel Pennac, because i've felt understanded for the first time by his simplicity and intelligence. Pennac is an intellectual that strongly criticize the scholastic institution because, according to him, it don't dive the students to LOVE the knoweldge but to hate it, and hate knoweldge is innatural for an human.

What do you think about it?

Leah Ann | 5 comments I am reading Insurgent (the sequel to Divergent by Veronica Roth). I love Tris' character. She's tough and weak at the same time. I wanna be like that. I'm really into reading YAs. I'm not a teenager anymore but reading YA novels shows me what I lost on my teenage years (though I'm not regretting anything). I was a very behaved teenager before. I never break rules. I only had few friends. And i'm a geek back then. it's a little boring but I don't regret any of it. I'm just not into regretting stuffs in the past because really, I can't do anything about it. Anyway, reading YA novels gives me excitement and it makes me feel young. Well, I'm a little young at heart so I guess that's why I like them.

Manfred Cruz | 10 comments YA novels are great! I feel a bit strange at times reading them but some of the series I read I started when I was little and they've kept going and obviously I have to finish them. I read Insurgent a while back on the recommendation of some girl at B&N. It was pretty good. Kinda short but I tend to like my books on the long side.
