ONTD Book Club discussion

We've all read them. That book you can't put down, you're dying to know what happens, the suspense...

And then, the last page comes and no answers.

So what are yours?

Well you do get answers but I felt like the end of The Discovery of Heaven didn't fit with the rest of the book at all, it's weird and supernatural and just not like the rest of the book.

And the last chapter of the last Harry Potter book. Like after the story really ends and everyone gets married etc. I would have ripped out that part, I hate it that much. Unfortunately the book does not belong to me, so I couldn't.

Suzanne's Diary For Nicholas - the ending killed me. Didn't see it coming at all. I snot-sobbed after throwing the book clear across the room. I did eventually finish it, but my heart was broken.

In the Woods. Ugh. Solve the mystery, mystery writers. SOLVE IT.

THIS! I was sooo mad we never got any answers about his past! So annoying!

The Dark Tower series by Stephen King :( Worst ending.

Haha, this. My friend is about 80% through the last book and I have warned him he may want to throw the book out the window. Unfortunately he's reading it on a Kindle so hopefully he manages to resist that.

Stephen King writes amazing books but generally not-great endings.

Jodi Picoult has two books that I've hated the endings on. House Rules and Handle With Care both, but ESPECIALLY House Rules. I wasn't a huge fan of My Sister's Keeper's ending either.

My Sister's Keeper's ending was so lame. I was so mad that I had read the whole book just for that. Ugh. I have never read another of her books since.

Only his name came to mind when I read the thread subject :)
He is like that proverbial guy who paints himself in a corner and then just blows up a great story with some haphazard end !
