i'm currently reading Killing Lincoln... can't say it's inspiring :P
However my next read might be. I'm planning on The Darkness that Comes Before by R. Scott Bakker. It's supposed to be epic. - M.

Right now I'm reading the Dark Earth series by Jason Halstead. A little slow start, but has promise. I have just finished his Voidhawk series. That is a great series. But of course it all depends on your taste in books ;)
That series someone posted of C.J. Sansom looks interesting also. If you guys are into Historical Fiction of that era I thought Wolf Hall was really good (a long read [that is tedious writings at points] but good). - M.
I posted C.J. Sansom. I bought the first in the series because I liked the cover and now I love the series.
Had to put away Killing Lincoln... all that I can say is that it's a good thing O'Reilly has a TV show and isn't relying on his writing for a living...

Ah, I've been meaning to read this for a while, haven't seen the tv series yet (even though it's sitting on my shelf!)
I'm currently working my way through The Dragon Waiting by John Ford, and Deadhouse Gates by Steven Erikson. Haven't spent as much time reading lately as I'd like, so I'm planning to change that!

I'm in the middle of Mr. Midshipman Hornblower and I seem to have stalled. I watched the TV series years ago and it followed the book quite closely - I'm using that as my excuse!
I need inspiration for new things to read :)
