Book 2: New Moon by Stephenie MeyerNot quite as compelling as the first book but still a great read.
Book 3: The Tales of Beedle the Bard by J.K. RowlingAs long as JK Rowling continues to write supplementary Harry Potter books, I will continue to buy them. The fact that the proceeds go to charity is an added bonus!
The fairy tales in this book are quaint and Dumbledore's commentary is quite amusing. A super fun, quick read!
Book 4: Perfume The Story of a Murderer by Patrick SüskindMy usual preference is to read character-driven stories with introspective plots but this book was a pleasant surprise. It contained no unforeseen twists and no sympathetic characters, however, the lyrical prose were utterly captivating and made it a very quick read. Some credit should also be given to John E. Woods for such a wonderful translation.
I loved the Tales of Beedle the Bard too!Oh, and don't get too down about New Moon, the other two are WAY better!!!
I'll probably start Eclipse sometime in Feb. Can't wait! Too many books, not enough time to read...
Book 5: A Dirty Job by Christopher MooreHilarious take on such a serious subject. Christopher Moore's off-beat and somewhat juvenile sense of humour does not disappoint. Looking forward to reading more work by this author.

Book 6: Blindness by José SaramagoPure awesomeness! Admittedly, the lack of punctuation is a little annoying and makes for a long read but this is offset by the superb story and the ingenious way the author does not name any of the characters. I love a good post-apocalyptic tale and this is one of the best!
Book 7: Eclipse by Stephenie MeyerThree books into this series and I still like Jacob better than Edward!
Okay, so obviously I'm a little behind in this challenge. I'm hoping to finish 2-3 books in the coming week to catch up!
Book 8: My Little Red Book by Rachel Kauder NalebuffWhat I liked about this book:
1) It was short
2) The profits go to women's health organizations
After the first few stories, I lost interest and they all started to sound the same.
Book 9: A Thousand Splendid Suns by Khaled HosseiniWhat can I say about this book to do it justice?? Five stars all the way!
Book 16: I Hope They Serve Beer In Hell by Tucker MaxHilarious, but clearly not a book for the easily offended

Book 1: The Memory Keeper's Daughter by Kim Edwards
I was absorbed by the underlying premise and impatiently read through to discover how the secret would be revealed, however, this book has a few flaws...an overuse of metaphors, some far-fetched events, and a couple characters left undeveloped. Very enjoyable, nonetheless!
