I think the top ten most endangered animals should be are current objective. The others have more time.
They are said to be:

1.Greater Horseshoe Bat
2.Siberian Tiger
3.Loggerhead Turtle
4.White Tailed Fish Eagle
5.Mandarin Duck
6.Lion-Tailed Macaque
7.Jackass Penguin
8.Mountain Gorilla
9.Numbat
10.Black-footed parrot

Desert Bandicoots are also no longer found in the wild and harp seals as well as pandas and polar bears and the northern lynx are good ones.

The groups picture is actually of a Meican gray wolf. The gray wolf has been taken off the endangered list in many states by Bush very recently and hopefully Obama will put it back on. Also the jaguar is very close to extinction along with the asian and african elephants and many species of whales.

Which do we want to protect and research first?

I've found new endangered animals at http://news.nationalgeographic.com/ne... Here I found the quote- "Coral reefs in the Indian and Pacific Ocean, for example, are vanishing faster than rain forests."

They also say that the the Yangtze River Dolphin was deemed critically endangered and practically extinct. There are beautiful pictures of each animal they talk about and since it's outdated (from 2007), and they said the dolphin was doomed, I fear it is now extinct... This just proves how much we have to help. This is deemed the first whale or dolphin to become extinct due to human activity.

Please check out the Red List and National Geographic. You can view them online or get NatGeo on TV or in a magazine. Education gives you power to make change.

This is another site that mentions the Red List -you should really check that list out.

This site is from the UK so has different views and some information. It says that that ferret i mentioned in the top 10 list was deemed extinct but then reintroduced in the States so it's not all bad, that's starting to work out. The lynx is mentioned again and i learned about tarantulas.

I think it's rediculous that people have these wild animals as pets and are therefore endangering it because someone wants money. how selfish. This is a boycottable issue.

Anyway here's the site. http://www.guardian.co.uk/environment...
