Leagues are/were called the Shadows. Now the Shadows are the king's fist and those left have formed the __. No one knows who is leading the resistance. (Hint, it's not Niyve, though I would like to think of her as a key figure. I have plans for her anyways. After you all create characters, we shall discuss.)
This is about criminals leading an underground charge for revolution.
We have magic, apparently.

Leagues: Shadows (the king's) and Streets (the left-overs)?

The story kind of changed. Now it is a rebellion, but the story is focused on the assassins and thieves and what-not. I think it will be a party.
For the Leagues, see the last line of message 2 (added). Any suggested alternates to my proposal? (They're not perfect, but I figured we need at least need something.
Oh, and the names are more unformal as whatever leagues there used to be (with official names) were consolidated into the king's shadows and so there's not really a 'need' for names as there's only considered to be one league (the king's) and than the rabble. That's my thinking, anyways.
Well, first you need a name for the King's League. If you go with The Shadows, to represent their origins, then the resistance could be called The Light, or Rising Sun. And all of the other leagues could consist of constellations; ie, the zodiac signs, The Big Dipper, The Swan, Hercules, ect. If you go with The Right Hand, maybe you could have the resistance be
Ah. Thank you. Guilds, yes, that was more what I was thinking. Or a combination of the two. Something, um... Thinking...
So the King's League is The Shadows.
The Resistance is... The Rising Night?
The other Leagues, like Dreams suggested, constellations, such as the zodiac signs.

No problem, Kenz. Always happy to help. Now, I have to finish my Alpha characters, and make some characters for this. ;)
Zodiac signs sounds cool. Anybody seen Caprica before?? Love that show.Anyway, sounds awesome!! Great thinking, Dreams :D Now our
Haha. I'd personally consider him a minor character in the beginning of the roleplay, until we actually need him to be a major character, as in, when/if the resistance attacks him.
I'd be alright making a King, when I have the time... C: Don't know how well I'd play him, but it'd be fun!
Okay, if you want to, feel free to do so. I think we need a few more characters before we can start...
Either/or? Both?
People should make characters though. I can make more if I need to, but I would prefer that others made theirs first at least.

Moop. I like the idea of it, though I'm not sure how the plot is going to work...?Also, I take back my claim on the King. I thought about it on the plane ride home and decided I'd play him horribly ;-;
I'm thinking it will function through attacks from each side, then individually, the Rising Night will be training and preparing for revolution, while the Shadows try to shut them down and otherwise squash them. Does that help at all?
Lol, okay. Did you enjoy Europe?
(PS: You and Lupine should set up Hemlock soon because it's awesome. ;) _)

Ah... okay. Makes more sense now. Good thinking!Yes... except now my internal clock is all wonkers. I felt dead tired at 7 PM eastern time and am now wide awake at 5:40 AM ;-; it sucks
Lol. I guess I'll set up the character sheet place now, then. And when we get people in there we can arrange classes, though they won't be that big of a deal me thinks.

Under the old king, the shadowy leagues of the streets survived together, so long as they kept their heads down and stayed to their own business. Since then, a revolution happened, and the old king was overthrown. The new king made the (league) his right hand, and they rule the streets. Those who don't join them die. But a resistance has grown, fighting for lost freedom.
See, the leagues are not confined to just assassins, as I misled you. They are also the thieves, the common thugs, the homeless, the prostitutes, the street orphans, and the poor. (Among others, I'm sure there's people I forgot.)
Mainly, those with any sort of power are responsible for protecting the helpless of the streets. The helpless usually join a league (need a better name) for protection. It's kind of like a family, and they pay a monthly due, but it is usually affordable (though The League [under the new king] does not have affordable payments (they will destroy any non-members [part of the king's effort to "get rid of common crime"], and so the Resistance League (Name help, please?) took it upon themselves to protect the helpless {forgive my current inability to eloquently express myself}.)
