Joey had settled down, sitting underneath the shade of one of the trees in the park area. He was holding onto a pencil that he impatiently tapped the end against a notebook that was settled onto his lap. "I hate having writers block." He grumbled, taking notice of how many bite marks he had put into his pencil just trying to come up with something - anything - to write about.
Joey nearly jumped out the sound of his name, being so worked up over a story he had zoned out of reality for a moment. A small smile spread across his lips as he glanced up at the farmilar wolf. "Hey Mimi. I don't suppose you know how to get my writers block to disapear did you?" He asked sheepishly.
Skylar was sitting in the tree over looking the lake. His eyes were slightly red, he looked at the two near the bench. Then looked away, soon staring at the sky.
Joey let out a snort of laughter and gave a shake of his head that made his blond hair wave out in several directions. "No, a guy writing about rainbows would be kind of...strange. And there dosn't need to be another werewolf story. Maybe I'll write a book about vampires? That way mad emotions don't boil when people want to say things about our speacies..." He told her with a sigh.
Ashley walked into the park having lost her friend somewhere along the way. She lay down on the grass. on the looked up at the sky.
"Yep, they are just a bunch of fangs for brains." Joey grinned finally getting somewhere in his story plotting. He skribbled down a few things.
"I don't know why the people hunt us when it's vampire that want to eat them, not wolves." Joey added, frowning as he flipped his pencil in his hand and erased a few words unsaticfied with them.
Joey had accidently snapped the eraser off his penicil by striking it against the notebook a little to hard. "Yes well maybe that's just because we have the good looks." He said flatly, "We don't need to kill to be ourselves. That's why werewolves and humans don't belong as mates." He didn't get angry often but hearing about what monsters they made werewolves look like sometimes sent him on the edge.
"I just can't see why people would spread such cold lies." Joey let out a sigh, leaning back against the tree. His eyelids drifted shut as he tried to calm down.
Ashley sat up and looked around. She saw what appeared to be several happy couples. There was also a boy in a tree.
Joey let out a sigh as he peeked his eyes open again. He turns his gaze over, looking over at Ashlet for a momet.
Ashley saw one boy looking at her. She smiled at him for a moment before laying back down and staring at the sky.
"Hold on a sec." Joey pushed himself up to his feet, tucking his notebook under one arm. He walked over to where Ashley was. "Hey, mind if I join you for a bit? You seem lonely." He said.
"That sucks." Joey replied, laying down beside Ashley, his knees bent. He glanced up at the sky a few times, his broken pencil starting to draw a picture of the clouds on a fresh pierce of paper.
"Yeah, and a great place to think to." Joey agreed, his pencil curving graceful lines, as though he could have been a drawing artist if he wanted to.
"This scene." Joey lifted his pencil so she could get a sight of him drawing to figures under what looked like the sky. "Almost done, though it's not going to look like us just people."
"Who me? Nah, not really. There is alot of great artist out there, but...I just could never be one, to afraid my secret would get out..." Joey let out a sigh as he curved a few more lines, erased a few things and scribbled something down in the corner of the page. His signatured name.
"That we're werewolves." Joey blinked his eyes at her, he had expected her to know what he meant. He tore the page out of his notebook carefully and handed it to Ashley. "Here, you can keep this one."
"Oh yeah duh." She looked at the page and frowned, " Thank you but it looks like you worked really hard on it. Are you sure?"
Joey returned the smile before he closed his eyes. "I think I've seen you before, but I never caught your name. I'm Joey?" He said.
"I'm not scared of that last name, and trust me I don't think you would try to kill me. You seem to friendly." Joey said.
"Ouch." Joey made a pouty face at her, his light brown eyes kind of saddened, "Ah, you would have killed a werewolf like me? But I'm such a good boy. I'll do a trick for a treat." He teased and winked at her, a small smile appearing on his lips.
She laughed, "I don't know I was trained practically from birth to kill werewolves. Probably not if I had gotten to know you! Hey what pack are you in?"
"I'm in Anapo Pack... I wish we were in the same pack...." Ashley said then she quickly added, "I mean so we could hang out together more often. As friends. Heheh"
"Hey we have all day everyday if you wanted to hang out. I don't have much to do anyways." Joey made a thoughtful face at the pierce of paper he was torturing.
"Yep, I need to get out of my pack for awhile. I think one of my pack members is trying to stalk me, it's pretty awkward..." Joey told her.
"I'm surrounded by the people I used to hunt so it's a bit awkward. At least my best friend got turned with me but she get's drunk quite a bit.... So i'm all alone..." she said, "But I'm glad I met you." she smiled at him.
Joey grinned at that. "I'm glad I met you to. I was born a werewolf, and kind of always been an oddball to. While most guys acted like morons I always wanted to be in a peaceful place to draw or read."
Ashley smiled, "I don't like being defined by society. I guess we have that in common. Wanting to escape."
"I like it here, mainly because no male werewolves are trying to tackle me when I'm drawing or writing." Joey let out a yawn.
"You can't even sleep with all the noise they make." Joey added, setting the mangled paper down that looked like a rose almost.
"I woke up once and someone had drawn a beard on my face, and there was mustard on my face and hand. Serousilly, who doese mustard instead of shaving cream?!" Joey shook his head slightly.
