One Non-fiction thread is a great idea *definitely thumb up here*
I would highly recommend Simon Singh's Big Bang: The Origin of the Universe, that's really a great book, and one of the best books that I have ever read. Singh writes in a way which is accessible to all readers, even to those who don't have some basics in physics/cosmology.
We live in a fascinating universe, we just need to get to know it better :)

Well, I'm not one to pass over the opportunity to talk about books, no matter the genre. And I do enjoy non-fiction as well.
But in keeping with the SFF theme I'd like to recommend Simon Pegg's memoir Nerd Do Well.
This is a book that you can enjoy even if you're not familiar with Pegg's work (which I can honestly say since I've never seen any of his movies). It was just really funny and entertaining, especially since the audiobook that I had listened to is read by Pegg himself.

I really like reading non-fiction on pretty much every subject. History, science (all fields), art, religion, philosophy, psychology, language, education, general knowledge, trivia, etc etc
Feel free to post your favorite non-fiction books and any new ones you've read recently.
