Introduce yourselves!
I'm Michael, the snarky book blogger, I love crime and mystery novels and never really found a decent community for it. I'm glad Brenda started one for us. I'm interested in new releases but my main focus is the old 1940's crime novels
Hi my name is Mish and I love to read just about any genre. Crime is probably the only genre that I need some help with. I do enjoy a good crime novel but I feel I’m a bit out of touch…sure what it out there and what to read.
So thankyou Brenda for the invite and setting up this group for us. I’m thrilled and so looking forward to discovering new authors/books with you all :)
Hi!! I'm Lynxie! I read just about everything and I use exclamation marks liberally when typing!
Thanks Michael (Sir Sparkly Lips not the other Michael) for the invite! It's good to see you all here!
Hi Olivia, welcome to our group! Lovely to have you with us:) I see you're an author... http://www.goodreads.com/author/show/...
Check out the Author Spot, feel free to advertise your books in there, any new releases when they come out etc.

Hi all, it's me, Gina. Thanks for the invite! :)
Morning. My major claim to fame is that I own a complete set of Agatha Christie paperbacks and a few first editions. Aside from that I'm working my way through the great selections in Crime and Mystery: The 100 Best Books by H.R.F. Keating to get a better handle on the genre as a whole.Oh yeah I'm (hopefully if all the stars align) soon to be making a short film based on a very short crime story that I've written.
Welcome Gina and Toby! Wonderful to have you here with us in our fledgling group!!
@ Toby..congrats on the short film...let us know if your stars align, we'd love to see it;)

Hi and thanks for the invitation! I'm Cheryl and I love to read multiple genres but I'd say crime/mystery are my favorites. I recognize many of you from the Aussie readers group where I have not been super active but enjoy being a member. I think this group will be fun!
Hi all,Thanks for the invite!
My name is Shelleyrae and while I read practically anything I particularly enjoy crime/mystery/suspense/thrillers - anything from cozies featuring amateur sleuths, to psychological chillers and hard boiled detective novels (I own the entire Ed McBain 87th precinct series).
I have a book blog at http://www.bookdout.wordpress.com and usually review at least one book in the above genres a week.
I look forward to participating in this group!
Hi all I'm Maggie, thanks for the invite. Over the years I've read lots and lots of crime/mystery fiction (I'll check out the other thread and add what I can). I started reading Agatha Christie when I was about 12 and read my way through all of them at that time (obsessively). I've reread many since. I also was introduced to Josephine Tey, Georgette Heyer's crime novels, Ngaio Marsh and similar. I've moved on since then. I'm not reading as much of it at present but I still love a good mystery rather than a gory crime book.
Hey! Mickey J here. I love suspense/mystery books. Can't wait to join in.
Hi,I'm Sue. I live in Melbourne. I'm a member of Sisters In Crime. I must admit, I prefer the cosy genre to thrillers. I also like some true crime and actually WROTE a true crime book for children.;-)
Hi all - thanks for the invite - I read a wide range of genre but enjoy mysteries. I very much lean to the cosy end - but do read any mystery other than the hard boiled and dark ones. Was almost exclusively mysteries for a while but now content to have a varied 'diet ' of reading
Hi I'm Heidi and I love crime / thriller / mystery books - would go as far as calling myself an addict. And I see you are currently reading a Dennis Lehane book - love his books (read all the Kenzie / Gennaro novels in a massive read-a-thon). Looking forward to sharing recommendations.

I'm Karen and that is my Chocolate Lab reading the Cat in the Hat book. I love crime/thriller/mystery books, especially ones that are part of a series. I'm not an Aussie, I live in St. Petersburg, FL, but I thank Brenda for including me in your group. I look forward to interacting with all of you. PS I do watch NASCAR and like Marcus Ambrose (9) if that counts for anything. LOL

My only qualifications for this job are a love of reading and an addiction to Goodreads. So please feel free to participate in the discussions, as I‘ll always try to put in my ten cents worth!
PS: If you are to mention a book or author in your introduction, it would be appreciated if you could insert a link to the post so other members can view the book/author.
Happy Reading!
