(The part without paranthesis is what is known about her, true or not. What is in paranthesis is what is true about her. Niyve is prounced nive.)
Name: Niyve (Niyvania Le'Kaerson)
Gender: Female
Age: Unknown (23)
Status: Assassin
Affiliation: The Rising Night
Description: It's hard to describe Niyve, as no one alive is known to have seen her face. She dresses in a dark grey cloak with a large hood that she wears pulled low over her face to conceal herself. She is fair-skinned, of slight stature and average height, and some swear to have seen long ends of dark hair beneath her cloak. Highly mysterious, very little is known about her. Her lyrical, warm voice is rarely heard, but she has an eloquent, refined way of speaking. She is very secretive and seems to trust very few.
(Niyve is very pale, with long dark hair that reaches nearly to her waist. Her hair, dusty black and painfully straight, is normally kept in a braid that hangs over one shoulder or straight down her back. Rarely is it left loose. She has memorable eyes of a vivd green, the same eyes as her father. Her fear of being recognized prevails over all other fears, at least of those she'll admit to herself, thus she takes her precautions. The mystery that accompanies her presence doesn't hurt her goals anyways, at least not yet. She is terribly dishonest; with others, but especially with herself. On the bright side of that, she is an exceptional liar, though practically none of her personal relationships have ever lasted long. She doesn't like to be predictable, and has no paitence for mistakes or cowardice.)
Background: No one really knows who she is, she just showed up one day and there are all sorts of speculations of her past. The rumors have included everything from her being a spy of the Shadows, to her being the mysterious leader of the resistance.
(Niyve is the bastard daughter of the old king, who was never married, but also fathered an illegitimate son. She grew up in the palace unnoticed and ignored, never having much of a relationship with either her father or her half-brother. In her days spent wandering the castle, it wasn't long before she discovered her father's own shadows. The people who did his dirty work. Eventually, at the age of nine, she managed to apprentice herself to one her father's best assassins. Now, after years of training, her skill is almost unparalled.)
Family: Unknown.
(Bastard daughter of the old king. When she was twenty one, the king, her father, was overthrown and killed. In the attack of the palace, her mother also died. Niyvania fled into hiding and only emerged six months ago as the mysterious Niyve.)
Other: (She has plans for the country that do not involve the old king. Has not a speck of magic, but does wear a few charms on her person for various purposes, nearly all mundane.)

(Duni: Swahili - small; Fintan: Gaelic - white-haired, white fire)
Name: Duni Fintan
Gender: Female
Age: 15
Status: Street Thief
Affiliation: Currently Unaffiliated (The Rising Night)
Description: Duni is a very small child with the notable feature of white-blonde hair that reaches just below the tops of her shoulders. Usually, she's so dirty that her tresses looks more like a dirty blonde, but right after she's taken a bath in the river, her hair is a beautiful, gleaming color. Above her freckle-dusted cheeks are a pair of pale green eyes much to somber for any child her age. The things she has seen have marred her for life. The last few years toughned her up a great deal, and she is remarkably successful in the streets for a girl like her. A natural aptitude for learning and keenly observant mind allowed her to pick up theiving quickly and well. She is likewise very resourceful, which obviously works in her favor. Not in her favor, however, is her compassion and sensitivity. Often when her stomach is demanding to be fed, she will give her food to an unfortunate child and go hungry herself.
Background: Duni's seen some rough times. Her father died in a work-accident when she was seven, and her mother died two years later because they couldn't afford a doctor. She and her brother were then kicked out onto the streets, where they were forced into theiving. They have survived only through the protection of the Shadows, but now under the new king, Duni fears she and her brother will not last another year.
Family: Duni's parents are both dead, but she lives in the streets with her brother one year her elder.
Other: Heard the best way to survive is as an assassin and is in search of any looking for an apprentice; she has no idea how ill-suited she is for the job. Has huge, untapped magical ability (element: air).

(Jabari: Swahili - the brave one, Yoruba: Swahili - bravery gets revenge.)Name: Jabari (Yoruba) Fintan
Gender: Male
Age: 16
Status: Street Thief (secretly an Assassin)
Affiliation: The Rising Night
Description: Jabari, like his younger sister, has beautiful white hair that usually appears as an ashen grey or dark blonde. It falls in a shaggy pattern around his face, often times forcing him to brush it out of his eyes; a pale shade of green almost identical to his sister's, if a bit darker. Broad shoulders give way to a lean figure that has seen the worst of starvation and poverty; scars covering lengths of skin in retribution for failed attempts at thieving. A quick, quiet tongue hides behind a firm-set jaw, ready to lash at the first person to even think of getting close to what's left of his family. Although Jabari's sun-tanned, freckle-sprinkled cheeks may smile down lovingly at his little sister, it would be a mistake to take him as a soft-hearted fool. He hides the personality of a merciless killer who's ready to do anything to survive... Someone who is tired of being repressed, and is aching to get revenge.
Background: Jabari was thrown onto the streets with his sister after both of their parents died untimely deaths. Not once has mercy been shown to the siblings under the rule of the new king, and not once has Jabari had any kind of attachment to the damned bastard. After one too many apples stolen from a fruit stand, a vendor decided to get even with the siblings who had been feasting on his stores. Jabari had sacrificed himself so that Duni wouldn't get hurt. It was the worst whipping that he had ever recieved, numbness starting to set in as he bled. And as a cornered animal, on the brink of death, Jabari struck back. But not as Jabari.
As Yoruba.
The death of the fruit vendor was not a major event, but it caused stirring in certain circles; a shadowy figure starting to follow the siblings as they conducted their homeless activities. When Jabari could take it no more, he confronted the man, only to find that it was an assassin looking for an apprentice like him. Young. Cold-blooded. Quiet. Merciless. And for three years he has been training under his master, learning how to strike before his target even knew he was there.
Family: Duni remains as Jabari's only living relative. Their parents had no siblings, and their grandparents died long before they were born.
Other: His condition can be identified as DID. Thanks to Kenz for description.

First off, I <3 the names!
Description: Lovely.
Background: Good. My only question (lie) is the last sentence. Why does he have to kill his master to take his spot in the guild? If he's been training with him for three years, does 16 make sense? If you think it does, keep it, I just like making sure things have been thought through.
Other: Spelling— schizophrenia. Schizophrenia? Why? I don't think that makes sense, especially how you have it described/explained.

Oh, also keep in mind that the guilds don't really exist anymore. They kind of do, but not enough to matter or count for anything as The Shadows are currently working to destroy them and tear them apart.
Okay, so... Not actualy able to edit my post at this time. But, I kind of screwed up with the tqking over the spot in the guild, yeah, remembered that... I think it would be more of a status symbole, to prove that he isn't an apprentice anymore. And also so that if his master is captured he wouldn't have any reason to show mercy (not that Yoruba would anyway...)As for the sdjnfojrntovd (cannot spell his mental condition), I wanted to give Yoruba's appearance into Jabari's life some kind of meaning. Split personality or schitzophrenia (osijfweoinfoegn) was the only thing I could think of... It's basically like, Yoruba is his defense mechanism when the tough gets going. Jabari has no control over what he does while in 'Yoruba' is active, and vice versa. What name would you give that??
Bluhhh. Bluhhhhhh. My Xoom broke. So now I have to use my friend's iPad... ;-;
Is that a usual thing though? Because if that usually happens, they wouldn't take on apprentices? (Sorry, I love figuring out minute details.)
Multiple personality disorder would make more sense, though I don't think it would explain it entirely, nor do I think that is exactly what you're looking for. Schizophrenia wouldn't really explain that, but I see what you mean.
(view spoiler)
Also, you really don't have to explain it, if you don't want to. If you want to, go ahead. It occurs relatively frequently in fantasy without a diagnosis. There really is no mental disorder (as far as I am aware, correct me if I'm wrong) that fits what you're describing, and I have done a lot of research into those. So there's more information for you, anyways!
That is sad. :(

Hmm. Maybe it's kind of like a way to escape the guild? Because after a while people get sick of just killing. His master isn't young, either... maybe 50 or so. And in good health :PAlright, I'll just change it to DID then. That fits the closest with what I intended him to have. Though he might not know what it is, I'd prefer if we did... XD
Heh, it's okay. I got my Xoom back!!! I love my parents C:
Dear Saph, are you going to edit Jabari?
People, please make characters? (For some reason, assassin/spy-sorts of roleplays (advanced ones) always seem to have a hard time getting off their feet, but it would be so much fun!)
