That's interesting Michael, I hated the books... yet I love the TV show. Michael C. Hall is AWESOME as Dexter, yet I can't see him in the books at all... that's probably partially because I watched the show first, then read the book.
I love the tv series, I am only up to season three though.
as for the books, I read the first 3 and I love Dexter as a character he is amazing. everything else however felt so rushed. like he had all these amazing ideas and not a clue how to write them.
Im glad there is a TV Show puts the Dexter character to better use.

Interesting; I do feel the same about the first few books too, it's almost like watching someone improve (even though I thought the third books was the weakest).


I love that both the series and show follow see to stay fairly true to the character Jeff Lindsay created so I'm happy with both
