GO USA!!!

Does anyone like cycling poetry? Here's one I wrote earlier.

BLOOD ON THE BIKE

Legs pumping,
eyes furrowed in concentration,
you push the pedals.
Harder and harder,
faster and faster
you go.
Then - crash!
Another bike clips you,
and you go down.
A bone-jarring,
skin-searing
collision
with the ground.

No time for pain!
Pick yourself up;
ignore the bright blood
dripping from your body
down the metal and onto the road.
Pump the pedals
to make up precious time.
Tears and aching
will come later
but, for now,
you will finish
the race.
