Lucas walked down the path, listening to his iPod. He skipped through a few songs until he got to his favorite one, and began humming the tune as he walked, looking all around at the scenery.
((Changed his name lol))Lucas walked along, looking around curiously when he spotted a girl ahead. He smiled, pausing his music, and taking out his ear buds, waving at her. "Hello!" he called as he approached.
Lucas grinned, falling in step next to her. "I'm Lucas," he introduced himself, holding out his hand for her to shake.
Lucas laughed softly. "A little of both," he said, looking at her with a glint in his eyes. "What about you?" he wondered.
Lucas chuckled softly. "Well, at least we have something in common," he said, nudging her playfully with his elbow. "So how do you like this place so far?"
Luca nodded. "I agree with you there," he said, smiling. "So I'm guessing you enjoy animals, right?" he wondered.
Lucas laughed softly. "A werewolf huh? Sounds interesting," he said smiling. "Wonder what that's like...."
((K))Lucas blinked, realizing what he said. "Oh, uh.. I didn't mean it like that.... sorry..." he murmured, frowning a little.
Lucas nodded, feeling a little relieved. "Sounds better than being a Pygmy Dragon, " he said with a small smile. "And don't worry, I won't run away," he said with a wink.
((That's ok lol))Lucas laughed softly. "Ah well, you haven't seen a dragon the size of a Terrier then, have you?" He pointed out, blushing a little. "It's kind of embarrassing."
Lucas laughed softly. "Not really, I mean, I can breath fire and all, but it's not very powerful," he said, smiling softly and shrugging.
Azura was out running, not that she really needed to, but her dragon side was on edge and it was the only thing she could think of to expel the extra energy. Her vampire side was monitoring her surroundings. It told her that she was quickly approaching two others in the woods. Dragon, her instincts screamed as she neared them. "Hello," she said, stopping her run.
Lucas blinked, and waved to the other girl with a small smile. "Hi," he said cheerily, offering a small smile.
"This is going to be an almost rude question," Azura started, "and you don't have to answer it, but which one of you is a dragon. It's making my dragon go crazy."
Lucas blinked, feeling a flutter of excitement, and grinned. "That would be me. Sorry about that," he said, giving her an apologetic smile.
"No don't worry about it," Azura replied. "Knowing helps to calm the dragon side. So, which dragon family are you a part of? My brother and I are part of the Uther Family."
Lucas smiled softly. "Robins. Though we're not a very large family," he explained, in case she never heard of them.
"I think I remember reading about them during my training," Azura said. "Robins..." she thought for a moment, but could not really remember anything. "It must have been before..." she trailed off. Instead, Azura turned to the other person. "Hello," she said to the girl.
Lucas nodded, smiling. "Hmmm never knew we were really out there, yah know?" he said with a soft laugh.
Aura smiled. "Well, when you live in a world like ours, it's hard to remember what's myth and what's reality." She ran a hand through her white hair. "My brother is better at remembering our studies. I have trouble recalling most things before I was 18."
Lucas laughed softly. "I know what you mean... I can never remember my studies either," he chuckled.
"Only what matters, right," Azura said smiling. "Battle training, power control, stealth, the important things. Who cares about history?" The fact was that Azura did care, a lot about the history of her people and it annoyed her that it might be lost to her forever because of one wrong mistake. Even though they argued about it contantly, she would never tell her brother the true reason as to why she refused his requests. What she learned and how she would never allow him to carry the same weight.
Lucas shrugged. "Ehh history isn't so bad. I actually kind of enjoy it, it's pretty interesting. Battle training is more interesting though, especially since I'm a Pygmy Dragon," he said, chuckling softly. "Not easy being small, ya know?"
"You're pretty fast through right," Azura asked. "I've always heard that Pygmies are some of the naturally quickest and most agile dragons."
Lucas nodded in agreement, smiling. "Yeah, I'm pretty fast. Makes it easier when you're not as strong as most dragons," he said with a small chuckle. "What kind of dragon are you?" he wondered curiously.
"I'm more of a Chinese Dragon... wingless and all. Actually the only one in my family in the last five generations. Yeah, that caused some questions when I first shifted." Azura smiled. "So, unlike every other dragon in my family, I'm about forty-five feet long, agile and flightless.
Lucas nodded with interest. "Wow... that sounds amazing," he said with a small grin. He had never met a Chinese Dragon type before, and finally meeting one intrigued him completely.
"Would you like to see?" Azura asked excited. She began taking a few steps back so she would have room to shift, if he said yes.
Lucas nodded, feeling excitement go through him. "Yes please," he said with a soft laugh. "Go ahead," he told her, taking a few steps back as well.
Azura's bright red eyes flashed, and the a tremor rushed through her. She leaded forward, back arched as her body began to stretch and elongate. Her hands touched the ground as scaly blue claws feet. Blue scales covered her body, as she continued to morph. Azura looked at Lucas and smiled in a dragon like way.
Lucas grinned, his eyes bright with amazement. "Wow," he murmured, looking at her with curious and interest. "Very beautiful," he said, smiling softly. "Better than my own shape," he said, chuckling softly.
Azura snort and gently nudged Lucas' shoulder trying to let him know she wanted to see his dragon form.
Lucas frowned a little, but rolled his eyes. "Alright, alright, but don't laugh, okay?" he said, grumbling a little. He concentrated, his eyes glowing a little as he began to shrink, his shape changing as he did. His hair disappeared, and two horns peeked out of the top of his head. Scales appeared on his body, becoming a bright yellow color, shimmering a little in the sunlight. Tiny wings spurted from his back, and tiny claws appeared, instead of hands and feet. Finally, a long, skinny tail rushed out, and the transformation was complete. He was barely the size of a Terrier, and he had to crane his neck up to look at Azura, his big blue eyes shining brightly, as he let out a small roar.
Azura smiled as she looked down at Lucas. He was the neatest dragon she had ever met. She laid down so she could get a better look at him. Then she wondered something. She looked at a nearby tree and breathed a short breath of fire on it. She looked back at the Golden dragon, curiosity dancing in her eyes.
Lucas blinked, looking at the fire curiously, and getting an idea of what she was asking. He frowned a little, but sat back, looking at a fallen leaf nearby. He puffed a little smoke out first, as if to test it out, then breathed as much fire as he could, engulfing the leaf, even though the fire was very small. He looked at Azura, a little embarrassed.
Azura smiled, it was a small flame, but proportional to his size. Then her eyes lit up as she remembered little known fact about Pygmies. She held up a talon to him, then allowed her dragon form to melt away. "Wait right here, just a minute." Not really realizing it, she dashed off into the woods a her vampire speed.
Lucas blinked, and watched her run off, unsure of where she was going. He sat back on his haunches, waiting in the middle of the path, and wondering how she ran so fast. He shrugged it away though. Must be part of her dragon, he assumed as he awaited her return.
Azura came back with a rock a little bigger than Lucas. "I want you to destroy this rock, only with fire," she said dropping it on the ground in front of him.
Lucas blinked, frowning a little, and giving her a look that said, 'You're insane.' he looked at the rock skeptically, frowning even more, his large eyes narrowing.
"No, I'm not," Azura replied. "I remember reading that Pygmies can channel their flames into a small, concentrated almost laser beam-like tongue of fire." She held up her hands and produced a ball of fire." The more concentrated the fire, the hotter it is." She shrunk the ball of fire, and it changed from red to a bright white. Using her control of it, she place the small ball of flame on the rock and watch it disappear leaving a hole behind. "So, given that theory, provided I'm remembering the right dragon that has that particular gift, you should be able to do the same thing."
Lucas blinked. He remembered hearing rumors of that before, but had never been trained in the subject. He was considerably bad at fire skills in the first place, but he sighed, deciding to give it a try anyways. What's the worst that can happen? He puffed a small bit of smoke, before beginning to breath fire, at first in a large spurt, leaving the rock unharmed. But after a moment, the fire began to become narrow, and more controlled. After a long moment, it turned into what Azura had described, getting hotter as it soon seared a hole right through the rock. He blinked in surprise, and stopped after a moment, smoke filtering out of his nose. He panted a little.
"See!" Azura said, "I knew you could do it." She leaned over and pick Lucas up and cradled him in her arms. She started scratching his head. "With practice it should get easier."
Lucas blinked, blushing a little despite being in his dragon form. He looked up at Azura with wide eyes, as if he couldn't believe he was able to do that. He gave her a toothy grin, squirming a little when she scratched his head, and letting out a small roar.
Azura chuckled. She turned and started walking down one of the paths. "I sense my brother near by. Would you like to meet him?"
Lucas blinked, and nodded, snuggling in her arms, enjoying her warmth. He let out another small roar, looking up at Azura, his eyes bright with curiosity, and wondering if he should change back.
Azura looked down at Lucas sensing his eyes on her. "You don't have to shift back if you don't want too." She scratched his head a little more. "You don't mind me carrying you, do you? I don't want you to feel like a pet or something." She turned on another path toward the lake. ((We can switch over to the lake if you want all of our characters to role play together.))
