The Calling discussion

I personally loved the calling! It was better than the 1st book in this series and the first book in The Summoning! (No spoilers for the last book in The gathering series and the last 2 books in the summoning please!) What do you like better?

I couldn't even bring myself to read The Summoning I quite enjoyed The Calling more as well. It had more action than the 1st one. But I guess because tht was a setup for the books... Who knows I might eventually pick up the other series.

For me, at the moment, The Summoning.
The Darkest Powers trilogy are what got me into reading Kelley's books and loving every single one :D It did seem to drag in places, but I guess it was to set more of the scene?
The Calling is great, and the characters interesting :D

SAME!!! the first books by Kelley i read was the Summoning series, and therefore reading the other books aswell! LOVE THEM SOOO MUCH!

Yea, though I really like the Darkest Rising series I absolutely adore The Summoning and the rest of the Darkest Powers Trilogy.

I LOVED THE SUMMONING!!! and I re-read it... and that rarely happens.

I love the both i ve read all the book of the DARKEST POWERS AND THE ARE ALL AMAZING

For me it was definetley the Summoning, I really connected with the characters and personally like the plot better then the Calling. I also thought it was better written but thats just my personal opinion because I still really enjoyed the Calling.

I liked the Darkness Rising series better than Darkest Powers, but I still think D.P. should be read before you read D.R. Darkness Rising rocked my world though, I couldn't put them down!

The Summoning! Definitely.

I have to go with the calling. Mostly because i love animals and it has more animals in it then the summoning, but they are both still great books.

Kelley Armstrong can do no wrong in my eyes. All of her books are amazing!!! I'm delaying reading Omens so I can make the book last longer. <3

The Calling all the way

The Summoning hands down. First series I read by Kelley Armstrong. So, it will always be the summoning for me.

I loved the darkest powers series so much more then the darkness rising series, but I will admit that DP doesn't start to get really good until about halfway through the second book. So the first DR book is probably better then the first DP book, but Darkest Powers is the way better series, the characters are way better and the relationship development in DP is a thousand times better than DR.

The summoning!!!!! The calling was good but the summoning was my fave, it just was so unique and new and the calling was more sequelish you know... :P Ether way both great books :D
