Lily woke up to the tweeting of the birds and rays of the sun. Also, her mother's soothing words. "Lily.... Lily, darling... it's time to wake up..." Lily's Mother whispered. Lily's eyes opened slowly. "Good morning, Mummy." Lily whispered. Lily's mother smiled a warm smile. "It's time to get to work. I have some breakfast for you on the table." Lily's mother said. Lily nodded and got up slowly. Lily's Mother went downstiars.
Lily slid out of her warm covers and put on her slipers. She went downstairs in her pagamas. There was eggs, toast with butter, orange juice, and some bacon. "Thankyou, Mum." Lily said with a long yawn. "Your welcome, dear." Lily's Mother said.
Lily sat down and ate her breakfast then went upstairs.
She pulled on a flower print, pink skirt and a white blouse. She pulled her hair into a tight bun and slipped on her boots. She picked up her basket beside the door and left after kissing her mother and father goodbye. "Don't worry, Papa. I'll make enough money to cure you." Lily said soothingly. Lily's father smiled at her, but he couldn't speak.
"Good bye Mum! Good bye Papa!" Lily called before going out the door.
