A sacred day for Fae, honoring a HIGH ELDER/HIGH KING'S sacrifice to end a war between two Tribes, Dark(feeds on humans for fun) and Light(feeds only to survive) Fae cannot use their powers on this day. One can invoke Agallamh

An Agallamh(Conversation) is a Fae ritual to attempt to reconcile feuding parties. Failure to reconcile means the person calling the Agallamh will forfeit his or her life.

Stag Hunt

The Gyallahaal is the first competition in the Stag Hunt to pick a new Fae leader(new Elder when an Elder retires or dies). It is a gala in which the Stag is revered coupled with a test of political skill and cunning to receive the support of the Noble families. Anything short of murder is allowed. The candidates who receive the most votes are deemed Contenders and they compete in the Hunt with bow and poisoned arrows.
A Stag Hunt is a Light Fae ritual to select a new leader. The Stag being hunted is a Fae who's been condemned to death or life sentence for violating Light Fae law. The Stag is always a volunteer. The Stag is revered till the hunt. The Gyallahaal is the first phase of the competition.
In theory The Stag may win by reaching the bell before he/she is killed, thus obtaining freedom, pardon and rights. In practice this never happens - the entire system is canted against it.
