Adsila ran in from the woods, panting for breath
Breeze was headstrong and Kohana couldn't change his mind from heading towards the village for safety. The warriors were still on her tail and bringing them to a peaceful village was a good idea? "Breeze! Turn around!" She demanded but the horse continued to gallop towards the teepees. The warriors emerged from the forests into the grasslands and Kohana was forced to cock her arrows, waiting for any signs of threats from them. 'I hope they'll help me!'
Adsila's eyes widened when she saw the person who had warned her. She wasn't part of their village! To make matters worse, she had her arrow pointed straight at them! The warriors were not happy.
Seeing that it was useless, Kohana hiding her weapons and slowed her horse as she approached the village. There, she called out "Hello? Please help me!" The warriors trailing here didn't seem to slow down.
Inola stepped out and frowned. "Stop!" She screamled. "How could you lead these warriors to us?" She said to the girl. Inola looked back at her village and saw Adsila. "Go hide." She said.
"No." Adila said bluntly. "I'm helping."
"Then why are you staying?" Adsila asked
"I'm older and currently the only one who could attempt to stop those warriors." She said. "I think they might be mohawk." She mumbled to herself.
"Hey! I'm a better fighter than you!" Adsila protested
Adsila grew quiet. "My mom's dead." she said turning around & running away
Adsila ignored her, running out of the camp & into the forest
Kyara stopped her horse "Please, I know I'm not from your village and I ave no right to come her but please help me." She pleaded, stopped her steed.
Inola hesitated and glanced nervously at the warriors. She bit her lip and let the girl into the village. "Hide quickly. They will demand to search."
Kohana jumped off her horse and tied him to a pot before slipping into a teepee and holding onto her bow and arrow tightly.
"I don't, they just were hunting in the forests...I thought the forests were our territory. They're intruding." Kohana murmured. "I want to help. I know we are not friends or our tribes don't associate but we have to defend our territory."
She looked away and sighed. "I'm part Mohawk." She said. "I can speak their language and I know their customs."
"Oh, that's good then. I probably should say I'm half Cherokee but...I've never learnt about them. My mother was given to the Sioux as a peace offering and never returned so..." Kohana said normally but then angry voces appeared in the village so she ducked.
The men were still on their horses, their faces smeared with Mohawk red paint and their body with battle scars. Fearsome and brave, the warriors stopped their pursuit to look around the quiet village and to the girl who had just come out to greet them."Where is the Sioux girl?" ONe asked roughly in Mohawk.
"She walked upon our hunt and almost shot down one of our own!" The demanded fiercely, pointing to the weak boy that had discovered Kohana but she did not find the courage to shoot him.
He looked around the village "That deer. Newly killed. It will make up for the time we wasted." He said roughly, not wanting to seem weak or easily persuaded but he had no proper grounds to chase this girl.
The warrirors grabbed the animals and galloped away.Kohana exited. "Thank you." She sighed, relieved.
Istas noticed the exchange from a distance and held her horse's snout afraid there might me an attack but when they went and turned away she sighed with relief and kept walking pulling her horse with her.
"You introduced me to the Mohawk. Soon I can go to their village and they'll know me. I might be able to find my father." She said.
"That's great. Could you help me with my mother then? Her name was only translated as 'Flower blooming'."
