Adsila walked through the woods, watchful for others, but listening to the peaceful sounds of nature.

Giulia Kohana was tired of her work in the fields so she called her horse, Breeze, over and mounted him, taking him to the forests and grasslands beyond where hardly anyone ever went to get some privacy. The forest was quiet today and she enjoyed the tranquil. She had her bow and arrow on just in case.

Adsila heard a horse a few yards off. She had her bow & her quiver was full of arrows. Her knife was tucked in her belt, so if the horse meant danger, she would be safe. She continued walking, as silent as a mouse, & as deadly as a snake.

Giulia Oblivious that there was anyone else there, Kohana kicked her horse up into a fast trot to get towards the feeding grounds faster. They generated more noise as they went up a hill, breaking twigs and rustling leaves.

Adsila heard the horse moving away. That's a lot if noise! she thought, following a deer path

Giulia Kohana began whistling, then singing a ballad she heard from her elders last night, one of fearlessness and courage. She kept her voice low to avoid disturbing the birds and deers. She was in fact crossing over a deer path at that moment.

As Adsila continued down the path, she heard a soft whistleing. She froze, & drew her knife

Giulia Kohana was about to cross over the last crest of the hills towards the grasslands but noticed noise and commotion upon it so she stopped her horse and listened carefully.
There was talking in deep voices. Men. Probably warriors or hunters. There were several and certainly not from her tribe. She held her breath. She didn't know who they were. Some left her tribe alone. Others picked fights.
She waited and waited but they made no move, so she tried to sneak away. Suddenly, as she turned a corner, she saw one young warrior, from an uncivil clan, looking directly at her. His eyes widened and mouth opened to cry out but she had strung her bow and arrow, threatening to shoot.
However, he called out anyways and she didn't release the arrow. She kicked her horse off and was surprised as the first arrow hit a tree she was about to pass. 'This is no game Kohana! On your feet!' She screamed in her head and pushed Breeze into a full gallop along a popular deer path, hoping to look for her tribesmen who went hunting this morning.

Adsila heard even louder commotion, & jumped into a tree just before a horse came around the corner. A girl was riding the horse, & she looked indian. Adsila relaxed a little, thankful it wasn't the white men. But then she realized that they had to be running from something

message 11: by Giulia (new)

Giulia Kohana turned back to see if anyone was pursuing her and noticed an Indian girl hiding behind some tress. She immediately pulled her horse to a stop. She could tell this girl wasn't of her tribe but she called out anyways "Enemy tribe coming around! I suggest you run!" She waited if the girl needed any help.

message 12: by [deleted user] (new)

Adsila nodded in thanks & disappeared into the trees

message 13: by Giulia (new)

Giulia Kohana turned back to her route and urged Breeze to return to his gallop. She flew through the trees, hearing the gallops of men behind her. 'Come on! Come on! Where are you?!' She thought frustratedly as she was coming to the end of the trail.

message 14: by Giulia (new)

Giulia "Oh spirits of the mountain! Please save me!" Kohana whispered as she stopped at the last of the deer trail. The rest was a path down to the Cherokee village. "Breeze." She breathed, hugging onto her horse who was becoming frantic at the whoops and oncoming men. She didn't have to decide as the horse hurried down the trail, towards the Cherokee village.
