I am a huge Olympic nut and my family is right along with me. I love the underdogs and the surprise wins - like Missy Franklin that won her first event in her first Olympics
Did you all see the women's team win gold in gymnastics last night??!!! I was completely blow away by their confidence and assurance. Here they are, in their teens, and they went out there on the biggest stage in the world and nailed EVERY routine.
Incredible! I was so inspired by their skill, their excellence, their hard work.

This morning on the Today show they featured a South African athlete they call "Blade Runner". He's a double amputee! My husband and I were so touched by his story that we both got teary.

"It's a win/win situation. The glory goes up to Him and the blessings fall down on me." - Gabby Douglas, Olympic All Around Champion
I was a shot putter in HS so I follow the Summer Olympics more - I was so happy the Great Britian men's tennis player!

Exactly? How many medals CAN he win? More than anyone in history, apparently. I'm awed and amazed at his talent and excellence... the talent an excellence of all the athletes.
At this point, I'm having a bit of an Olympic hangover. I've been staying up so late and watching so much of it that I went into a daze and had to take the weekend off. LoL!
