I tried to get into Congo, but it just bored the crap out of me. Blame my short attention span, but I couldn't do it. 1 star.

I read this a while back. It is slow paced for an adventure book but it does have it's moments.

I dont think it's one of Crichtons best efforts, but it was passable.

Amy and visions of Zinj? I'm not sure I bought the entire premise of genetic memory.

I also didnt truly grasp why the diamonds were needed from this location for the super-conducter. I know Crichton gives us an explanation but the explanation was over my head. (I'm a bit dense when it comes to technicle jargon)

I waffle a bit on the rating, maybe 3 stars.

Unfortunately I can't comment too much on this book, since it's many years ago that I read it. I remember liking it well enough, but it definitely wasn't one of my favourite Michael Crichton books.

I Agree with Kevin and Allison. I also read this book years ago. Congo had some high action moments but, I must admit, it was a forced read for me.
