Buddy Reads
I'm down for a buddy what wants to read perhaps some Dickens, I'd settle for a Dickens suggestion...

My mother has read Oliver Twist, and she loved it! She is not of a bookworm, so if she liked - especially being a classic - then I am SURE it was good. I suggest you start with the most classic Oliver Twist, and then move to Great Expectations. David Coppefield is...challenging I have to say. It doesn't capture as much. Well.. so does Great Expectation. Oh well, you choose :)

I am!
What kind of Genres do you not typically read? I typically do not read biography...I find them boring and I am never that interested in the person to really dive deep into their life, anything else, I am completely up for
When you click on add book/author, a little box pops up, pick the book you want, and once you search and find the book you are looking for, at the bottom of the box it will say add link or cover
No problem! Let me know what you find :) I wasnt sure what kind of books you typically read, but it seems we read similar genres! Two of your to-reads, I have just finished reading!
I would like a buddy read if any else wants to give it a go? :) I generally read young adult fiction, crime and paranormal if anyone else is interested in being a buddy? x
sorell I'm interested :) that's the kinda books I like that kind of genre. let me know what you want to read
Rebecca wrote: "sorell I'm interested :) that's the kinda books I like that kind of genre. let me know what you want to read"Awesome :) I'll have a look at what you've read and see what I can find x
heyy sorell just sent you a friend request but not got much listed on here that I've read as I only downloaded the app a couple of weeks ago. what kind of books were you thinking of starting soon?
How about Divergent by Veronica Roth, The Forsakenby Lisa M. Stasse, City of Bones by Cassandra Clare, The Selection by Kiera Cass, Shadow and Bone by Leigh Bardugo or Shadow by K.J. Parker, theres just a few for you to have a look at see if you fancy any of them. :)
they all sound really good I'm torn between city of bones and the selection. do you prefer either one of them?
I think I fancy the city of bones first, I like the sound of both, but that one sounds more like the kind of books I'm into at the moment. So city of bones? x
yeah that sounds great. I have an ebook reader so will download it later. Do you already have the book?
The city of bones series is actually pretty decent...I read the first one, but havent gotten to the others yet
that's good then but I always annoy my boyfriend by saying what's different from the books though so don't know if he will like it :)
Whenever I try to point out differences between the book and the movie, and he goes "some of us watch movies...." lol
Haha well i better get reading quick then because i hate it if i havent read the book before i watch the film, i dont know why but once ive seen the film, it puts me off reading the book, but rebecca just to let you know i've downloaded it now so I'll start reading it tonight :) exciting x
I've not downloaded yet but I will be doing very soon :-) how do you want to go about it are we readimg a certain amount a day or just seeing how we go x
I had the No.1 Ladies Detective Agency, I recently sold it to a local book store because I could never get into it :-/ Hope you find someone!
Hey, y'all. Drop a comment if you'd like to participate in a buddy read with me for one of the following titles.
Oh, oh oh! My daughter has been *begging* me to read Wintergirls...This is by far her favorite book ever, and it's sitting on my counter right now (I think it's a very broad hint to read it).I've never done a buddy read...how does it work?

Goody! *does happy dance*
Ahh, I remember my first buddy read: I was like, "Sooo...what do I do...?"
Basically, Dale, we'll start a discussion thread, work out system that determines how fast we read ([blank] chapters per day) and we discuss the book as we read along:)

Bridgett wrote: "I am looking for a buddy to read with :) I am currently reading 2 books as is, but am fine with starting a third :)"What would you like to read? :D
I like almost pretty much anything. More fiction than non though. Other than that I am fair game. You can check out my to-read list if you want, to get an idea of what I like. Even though it is pretty much covers the whole spectrum

I just have to get the book. I don't get paid til next Friday, and I don't have a library card. I might try to get one this weekend. I will let you know!
