The use of the different colors of text is very clever...makes it a touch more interesting (not that the dialogue needs any help--it's reading very easily)
Great read--so far!

I like Lu's writing style. Having both characters' perspectives gave the reader a broader look at the story as well as each characters' backstory. I thought this really helped the action of the story as well as the detail. I loved the gold text. It was a bold move.
I thought the story was riveting. I read the dang thing in a day and instantly grabbed my advance copy of book two-which I preceded to cruise through. I felt like Lu's story was different from all the other dystopians out there right now. It was set in the future, but not the far off future. The different governments were believable as well as the characters who live in the systems. The characters were mature but still young and innocent, which made the book exciting and hard to put down.
I will have to get back to you on the favorite moment or quote. I do have a favorite quote, but I don't have the book at hand at the moment.
And yes, obviously I was excited to read Prodigy. Can't wait for book three.

Was so caught up in it that I have lost many hours of much-needed sleep. I stayed up way too late reading!
The story WAS very riveting and I was pulled right into it. I particularly liked Lu's descriptions of the setting, uniforms and characters. Really vivid.
I have a least favorite/most shocking moment...when they shot Day's mother. I actually shouted out loud at the book...not something I do very often. I wanted to get to know her better.
Favorite quote: more like a paragraph. When Day was talking about his nickname:
“Each day means a new twenty-four hours. Each day means everything's possible again. You live in the moment, you die in the moment, you take it all one day at a time...You try to walk in the light.”
The secret code that Metias left for June to decifer his journals--very cool.
Will have to borrow that advanced copy of Prodigy from Jody! Need to know what happens next! :)

Can I borrow Prodigy from you? Loved the ending of Legend, but now...well, I need to know what happens in Vegas, and if it stays in Vegas! :)
